Few minor questions

Was bored today and looking around the locked threads in this section of the site (they can be good for laughs at times.) and the ban log (oddly enough alot of those locked pages involve people in the ban log, go figure.) for something to do and a few things came to my attention I was looking for clearance on.

1) I know bumping is looked down on, I was wondering the policy of it in the marketplace exactly, I seen Jordan say it was ok as long as it's not over done, and other mods say don't do it. (Mind you these threads were from said people in ban log, so there could be more issues I don't know about.) So I was wondering on the official stance on this since well, I don't feel its entirely fair to issue warnings/infractions based on bumps in that area unless its way to common.

2)Is there anyway I can do a name change? Again I seen some conflict in threads that touched on it in here, and was just wondering if there is anything I can do to rid myself of this name.

Not a question but I would like to thank the mods, in the sea of people who complain about our rules (in particular the spelling/grammar one dispite the fact it's hardly my strong point.) what you do does help to make this place somewhere I don't mine actually coming and interacting with the users and I do feel the rules you help uphold do make this place better then similar sites (I am quite familiar with the sorry state of the FM forums.) and I can say without a doubt this is a much nicer place to be.

General policy is that bumping/double-posting isn't an issue. Sticky thread in the Marketplace forum specifically says don't do it because in that forum it is an issue.

Two ways. Make a new account and ask us to ban the old one (or we might accidentally ban both for multiple registration). Get GTPremium (even a month will do) and ask Jordan nicely - make sure your chosen name isn't already taken beforehand though.

You could look at it from a selfish point of view - we like it to look like this, so we make it look like this and it's just a side-effect that lots of other people like it too

Ok, thanks Famine, little disappointed about the 1st issue, but I can grasp why since if you some lead-way on the bumping and it gets insanely out of hand. Shame the few must ruin things for the majority oh well.
