FF cars aren't naturally inclined to accelerate well.

As you accelerate, the centre of weight shifts back - the weight over the front wheels decreases. In FR/MR/RR cars, this is fine - the weight transfers onto the rear tyres, allowing better traction, ergo better acceleration. On an FF car the weight transfers OFF the front tyres, meaning POORER traction. In other words, the quicker you try to accelerate, the less you CAN accelerate.

I've not seen an FF car capable of sub-6s 0-62mph times. Ever.

On the plus side, I made a Spoon Integra a while ago - 215hp, 900kg.

It blew the Spoon Civic apart for a start. Very nice car.

I made an FR variant, and strangely the handling didn't seem to change much at all. The stock Teg is the most neutral FF car I've ever used in the game, so it's not much of a surprise...

Thanks for the info Famine.

I made an RSX and managed to get it to about 11secs off the line.. only 600hp give or take a few :D

last week i made a family of 5 rallycross inspired SR20-powered-zzS-chassised-camaro-tyred daihatsu sirions. :odd: :odd:
They weigh 595kg for their 190hp, and are all identical in parts and settings except drivetrain.
The FR car is the best in my opinion, but RR is certainly interesting!! :D
Some rough testing..
0-100kmh 0-400m
FF 6.95 14.733
FR 4.84 13.142
MR 4.60 12.871
RR 5.02 13.319
4WD 4.04 12.610

Nothing definitive, but food for thought...
