FFU -=Another flohtingPoint video=-

Probably be my last for a while, minus competitions, as I feel I need to beef up alot. The time lost while making this video was pretty large, and it wasnt very helpful (as you'll see). Anyway, hope you fellas like it, I'm going back to the lab to work on my weak skills.

Video location: http://flohtingpoint.net/drift/ffu.avi
Video encoded in: DivX
Sound encoded in: Mpeg Layer-3 (MP3)

PS: Ragin Joy and Choi = same person. Choi's first name is Raygene, hence his nickname: Ragin Joy.

Regards,
floh

Oh yea, If you're wondering "wtf is that Del Sol there for", its cause a buddy of mine from work drives one with a JDM B16a swapped in it.

This video is less along the lines of the stock s13 vid, and more like the Initial D video, lots of edits and I tried to streamline it as much as possible.

I thought you said it was a drift video? The drags were ok, but it's not drifting. Next time, let us know it's an A$$ Drag vid, before we start downloading it.;)

It's a good vid........great editing!!!! That was the best @$$-dragging I've seen in a long while. I'm with silviadrifter on this one......FF "powersliding" isn't drifting.....It shouldn't be the deciding factor in judging a video IMO, but you know how poeple around here get about a person calling FF @$$-dragging by the name of "drifting."

Nevertheless, it was still a good piece of work. How do you mean "Beefing-Up" BTW?

Whoa whoa, hold up. Aparently there is a misconception here. I never said drifting. I know e-brake ripping isnt drifting, not even the same ballpark. Only reason its in my "drift" folder on my server is cause thats where I stick all my videos, there is a bunch in there you guys dont see, mostly DAOC vids from me on my Shadowblade and Infiltrator. I dont plan on making any more videos containing FF cars, but if one should slip in there I'll make sure to bold it in my post that I dragged on an occasion.

I'm glad you liked the vid xsyorra. Timing for alot of it was a pain due to my junk box I'm sitting on.

I mean getting better at drifting. The drifts I displayed on my Initial D video, S13 vid, and (if it ever gets out) my drift vid for GTPDC 4 are all sub-average. I suck mightily and need alot of work. Making videos and editing takes time out of the small time I have for recreation, so instead I'll just be using that time to drifting and do whatever else I do on my off time.

Well, as long as you keep practicing. You are a good drifter. Just a little rough around the edges.....like all of us. Drifters like Cudaman and pergetory didn't just happen overnight. There are 3 things that make a good video: Drifting, Editing, and Soundtrack. You don't have to be able to drift a full lap to make a good vid. It's NICE to be able to do that, but ask ANYONE here how many takes they did to get a clean lap for GTPDC......

I can't even BEGIN to count how many times I've smacked walls, gone into the kitty-litter, spun out, etc. just to make a vid. Editing doesn't have to be the same way.....you don't have to synch EVERY drift to the music, or use a ton of effects or angles. I do my vids with the "stock" views, throw together a bunch of shots, and add some trippy music......and hope for the best.:sly: The vids are to show other drifters what you got, where your skills are at. Even if it's a quick replay, or a collection, whatever.....Just keep the vids coming.

Gotta get those skills first, thats where the beefing up comes in. Right now I have smoke and mirrors. Next video I do will be quite some time from now.

Take your time, and get it right. It's better to put out a well polished video, then just clips with music IMO. ;)

Geez!!! That was awesome dude!! I Like it.. I like it alot - this vid will definately go under my "fav drift vids" section :)

The editing, drifting and synchronizing of clips has been done with precision - bet you put in alot for this one hey? Keep 'em coming :)

FF, FR, RR, 4 wheel, 2 wheel... I don't care.. as long as the drifts look like that?? Bring it on!!! Hmm.. lemme watch again.. for the 7th time !!!

Nice job!
👍 👍

Video took a while to make. My junk box I got at home (Athlon XP1800, 1GB Ram, no SCSI) encodes junk slow as hell, nothing like my workstation at my office, so I limit myself alot. To do the timing I had to lay tracks, encode vid, watch, then make adjustments, couldnt do it on the fly due to computer lag while running the program cause I run ALOT of side apps at the same time which cannot be turned off (for far too many reasons). I try to make the video qual has high as possible but due to hardware constrictions I can only do so much.
