Now that the events of 2018 are completed, let's use this thread to store all the ideas, compliments, and improvements I'm sure all of you have in mind. Happy Holidays! Let's make 2019 so much better that 2018 looks like it was planned with crayons!

Yeah she was a great host. People thought she should have had more racing knowledge but I don't think that's as important as being an entertaining and engaging host, which she was. Made it fun. Would be cool for there to be a host that stays on through the journey. Also thought Matt Roberts was great. Hopefully that Hamilton guy sticks around too though right? ;)

Yes, even more knowing that it was he who contacted Gran Turismo for the partnership!

From a neutral spectator point of view, fantastic action packed racing. From a GTS based spectator and long time motor sport fan, massively inconsistent stewarding has taken the shine off it for me. I get that people don't want to see penalties over names but with the slowdown zones, it's not as unsightly any more. The first event seemed to get it right with poorly judged moves being punished severely so I'd like to see that level of discipline back. Get the drivers worrying about consequences.

The use of road cars is little more than a lucky dip. It's a great spectacle but if they have to be used, make the races one makes instead. Kinda boring having that view but I watch these events to see how the the drivers get on, not the cars. I want to see the cream rise to the top in a fair contest.

One last thing. More cameras! We miss so much action through spectator view. I don't care if it's picture in picture but if that isn't possible, post race highlights. Dream scenario is viewing through my game and console, even saving the replay but that's likely impossible.

Commentary and hosts, no complaints from me there at all. Awesome job done by all of them.

I'm looking forward to the next one but in its current format, I'll find it hard to take it seriously. Maybe I'm not supposed to?

Manufacturers Cup should highlight both the various cars as well as the drivers skills together but the BoP of the cars should be balanced by the different circuits where the track raced on does not become the major factor in a driver having a distinct advantage or disadvantage.

Tracks being raced on should be a blind draw out of about 6 different tracks with different attributes before the first practice session for the upcoming race. We are talking about the best racers playing the game period here and the blind draw adds an excitement to what the drivers will be facing

Nations Cup should be about the drivers skills against totally equal competition and all Nations Cup finals should be one make races where the end results are in the drivers abilities and adaptability. Having different cars drawn or assigned gives advantages that in an equal competition should not be present.

Each race should have its own qualifying where one bad qualifying effort should not have such a long lasting effect on a racers results as occurred this year.

Make the races longer at least 20 laps and better to be 30 where a driver starting further back in the field has a realistic chance to overcome the starting position and have a possibility of perhaps a podium finish.

Having replays posted on you tube even after the fact allowing to watch the race from each drivers perspective after the races would be interesting as a viewer could follow a favorite drivers races from green to checkered flag.

Overall it was a decent first attempt but with the way some aspects were done it is hard to really determine a champion as there were to many unequal variables throughout the entire finals from one driver to the next that the driver had no control over other than blind luck of the draw.

From being part of 2 of these events, I can say some things. The organization is great, PD staff treats you really well.

The racing aspect of it almost everything was ok, apart from the stewarding geting weaker and weaker from world tours events til the world final. A lot of drivers were complaining about that.

I don't like that luck has a massive weight on the final results. Drawing cars for drivers is not the best option when the BOP is all over the place. Making a qualifying be used for like 3 races is also not much fair.

People that get eliminated on the first race has barely no game time. You do a qualify and a short race, and boom, youre eliminated. Maybe having more races would be better. You can't really recover from a disaster.

Manufacturers cup deserves MUCH MUCH more love. PD kinda didnt look like they cared too much giving them so little game time.

The rigs and gear used are top draw. The best of the best. Amazing equipment.

I'm not really saying anything anyone else hasn't already said, but strength in numbers right?

1. Qualifying should be streamed live, for each race, on the track/car combo that the race will be held on. No more single qualifying session that determines the outcome of the entire event.
2. Penalties should be at least as strict as the penalties we all experience in the game. Whether that be done via stewards only, or some combination of automated in-game penalties and stewards...who cares, but if the finalists are getting away with things that the rest of us would be penalized for even attempting in-game, the experience is cheapened.
3. Everyone should be able to pick whichever car they want for any race that's not a one-make.
4. Longer races. Not only will this give lower qualifiers a chance to perform better, but it will also mean that a small penalty doesn't necessarily mean your race is ruined, but there will still be an obstacle to overcome.
5. PSN ID's should be displayed in the same position as driver names, the two should toggle back and forth throughout the race so we can see both without taking up additional space on the screen.
6. There should be more promotion and marketing of these events. FIA should promote it, Playstation should promote it and stream it from their channel, not just links on GT TV and the few other places.

Having said all that, it's worth mentioning that these events were still pretty amazing and the best e-sports coverage I've ever seen.
