Hey,

This is the cover (front side) for "Running in the 90s" by Max Coveri. I'm pretty sure you've seen this one with the rally cars, and said Cars are the ones i'm going to talk about.

Most of the cars pictured are Lancia Deltas. But one is an outlier. It seems to be an Fiat Uno from the looks? I once tried searching it up with Google Lens but can't find any relevant guesses. I think it's because it's altered, just like the Deltas. As you can see, the Deltas look familiar but wrong. One is undeniably Martini sponsored and the other two seems to be either the Alitalia or Jolly Club machine. From how the shapes i think it's Martini sponsored? I think i should do some more research, but if you could please provide me with some more info and history about this machine! :)

Original livery if this is anything to go by:

I assume the #206 went by #21 in another rally but that should be the same car

Exactly, that's it!
Thank you!

Other than the video you gave me, i can't really find any information about it. No articles, no wiki pages, not even other images! Maybe i just need to keep digging....

It's a tough one. It doesn't quite match the one in the video driven by Andrea Dallavilla but it's hard to find much on the rallies listed in his '92 season. There's this nice pic from Rally Elba:

Found here. Happy hunting!
Very cool to see another image of it. The original, exact image used in the cover has yet to be found though. Back in the day when the cover was made though, Google isn't very good yet, so the designer maybe either:

  • Found it in a book/photo album
  • A pretty obscure broadcast
  • Maybe even took the image themselves on one of the events?
