File Moving Help

When I have two pictures that are the exact same, (same size, name, etc.), I try putting one into the same folder, and I don't get the Do You Want to Replace this File thing, it just ads a [1] to the file name, which leaves two pictures, that are the exact same with the exception of the one with the [1] at the end. Does anybody know how to reenable that Replace Existing File window? Any Help is appreciated.

How are you moving the file over? Drag and drop? Copy paste? Within the same partition or across partitions?

I don't know of anything that reenables that window. As far as I can tell it shows up when it wants to.

I had to go through the 1100+ files and delete the same ones, which kind of eliminates my need of help. But I was selecting large quantities and dragging, and no none of my drives are partitioned.

Try copy paste rather than drag and drop... see if that helps.
