I've carefully examined this track, and the simplest solution to identifying on track versus off track is to keep two wheels minimum on or inside the white line, all the way around the track. This includes the main straight and the tunnels.

When submitting your time, please indicate what tire compound you selected for the AI (which Tire compund you entered the race with).

These lineups are semi debateable. Post a good reason why you cant do it.
Jmgyro/Hotboi Sort out amongst yourselfs who will do what race, i know you both love road cars so its upto you who will do what 👍
Toffe mate, you pretty much pick your favourite race and help the other guy. Fastest guy gets to submit just like BC5 👍

due to time obligations, mainly eswc

i wont be doing the longer race this time, instead ill do Race 6

and help Jmgyro for Race 2

sound good jmg? or we can swap

Thats fine Curtis 👍, jmgyro wants the Grand valley race so it works out perfectly.

and it is a good thing i started hammering the S2000 to get some practice in... seeing as it was the one finally chosen... :)gunna give this little honda some ****!!!

and that thing about setting the AI on RSH, was something i had already done... without knowledge of these rules so all is good and clean so far... and do we know which drivers from other forums we are racing against at the moment?

EDIT: after doing a whole session last night on Full quicktune i find out it is on 0% power (damn typo by GTChallenge) anywayz this car is even easier to drive, but am rueing the fact i have lost a bit of the power oversteer... will just have to man-handle it a bit more... currently running at 4'59.xxx

sounds good hotboi, race6 doesnt look fun at all

Dion, please let me know asap what the ruling on the DF white line/rumble strip track boundry is in the managers forum. I don't want to put in too much time driving by NQ's white line ruling if it is going to be overturned......BTW, my opinion is that I like the white line ruling. I feel I can adapt to it very well, and judging by some of the bitchin going on at GTX about this rule, maybe some others can't. That's to my advantage. ;)

In arcade mode last night I was turning 1'23.3 laps in the Lotus going with the white line rule. It's actually not bad with a little practice. 👍

Thanks mate! :)

Ok, an update on that, since it effects me too.

Is currently a poll.

Choice 1 - The white lines will define the boundries. A car will have at least two wheels on or inside the white lines.

Choice 2 - The inside of the rumblestrip/cobblestones or edge of the tarmac/asphalt. A car will have at least two wheel on the inside edge of the rumblestrip/cobblestones or if there is no rumblestrip/cobblestone, the car will have two wheels on the inside of the outside edge of the asphalt (the wheels will be on the asphalt)

Choice 3 - The outside edge of the rumblestrip/cobblestones. A car will have two wheels on the rumblestrip/cobblestone, or if there is no rumblestrip/cobblestone, the car will have two wheels on the inside of the outside edge of the asphalt (the wheels will be on the asphalt). Note that it will be the driver's responsibilty to return the car to the asphalt before the rumblestrip abruptly ends.

"Basically, #2 is the edge of the tarmac, as defined by either the rumblestrip or tarmac. #3 is the full rumblestrip is legal."

And so far option 3 has 5 votes and option 1 and 2 are on 0. So it looks like option 3 will be the one choosen 👍

Ok, to be clear. On forward is the big tar pad on the left b4 t1 legal? Are the green cobblestones legal? This is assuming #3 will be voted in. To me it looks like #3 is simply gtrp " any tar is legal." Right?

I have no idea mate.

My guess, is that the green cobblestones and the concrete patch before T1 is illegal, but i dont know yet. Just practise with tyre/pit strategies while i get this **** figured out 👍, or even test a few other combos and provide some feedback 👍

Fair 'nough mate. 👍 Meanwhile you and the others in race 1 are losing valuable track time.

Question Headmistress Dion:

What does 'your board time' mean? Is it like, the time at the place where this board is located? (In our case, the whole planet so that'll be tricky...). Or the time that I've got the board set on (+10 GMT?). Or just plain old regular GMT?

Board time is the time zone that the board is located, in our case Jordan's state kentucky USA. I will find out what that means in GMT then you guys can figure out how to convert to your local time.

http://wwp.eastern-standard-time.com/index.htm

That will show the current EDT time, but for us it means
GMT -4, so casio add 14 hours to that time on the website for Aussie time 👍

You guys in the USA/canada should be able to figure it out yourselfs, im not familar with your timezones.

👍

So here's the rule, for all tracks:

We will adopt the GTRP database rules, with one small addition:

Two wheel need to be in contact with the track at all times. When airborne the projection of the car perpendicular to the track counts.
The following instances belong to the track:

Tarmac
Curbs
Sidewalks
Any kind of rumble strip made of concrete, stone etc (see Nurburgring Nordschleife)
Tarmac or any other kind of road mentioned above that's situated beyond curbs
Tarmac partially covered with dirt or sand (see El Capitan)

not belonging to the track are:

Meadows
Grass/Rough
Soil
Gravel/Safety Zones

Grasscrete - this border material often does not have a clear boundry, so will be treated as grass

also dont knock any cones over 👍, City tracks allow anytrack within the walls but tokyo and seattle have no quesionable areas anyway.

👍
