So, I've heard some of the piano stuff on there and I like it. I can't find any, though, because I don't know who did it.

Do any of you know who made the pianoish stuff in final fantasy?

Nobuo pretty much owns, but I kinda prefer Yasunori Mitsuda's work from Xenogears and Chrono Trigger.

If I ever see the FFVII soundtrack in a store, I will not hesitate to buy it. Unfortunately I never have.

There's some decent orchestration of the final fantasy themes.

For some reason Celtic Moon (which I think is the title of one of the CD's) has popped into mind.

Yeah, the Final Fantasy series always has excellent music. I have the FFX soundtrack, good stuff to relax to. I also highly recommend the Cowboy Bebop soundtracks by Yoko Kanno.

Final Fantasy Tactics had lots of great music too. But I think the piano was probably sythesized. The composers are Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata. Best ST IMHO and Nobuo didn't even compose one song in it.
