I've been playing with a lot of tunes here and it's been fun (thanks, btw!) but I have a question about final gear. Most say "adjust final gear for track". Can someone give me a basic tutorial on what final gear is and how it should be adjusted based on track? Thanks again!

Apologies if there is a thread for this already but search just reveals every one that says "final gear". Spoiler: that's all of them
 
Higher Final Gear = Better Acceleration

Lower Final Head = Higher Top Speed

If you move the slider around, you'll notice the top speeds for each gear changing. If you're racing somewhere with a long straight and you find yourself hitting the Rev limiter really early in the highest gear, then you would want to LOWER the Final Gear and increase your overall top speed. Do this until you just about hit the limiter right at the end of the straight before you need to brake.

Inversely, if you never even reach your top gear because you're on a small technical course, then you would increase the Final Gear to improve your Acceleration.
