well, errrm..

finally bought the official logitek wheel and....... my lap times are roughly 5-10secs slower.

am i doomed with slower lap times forever? or will i eventually be able to reach joypad standards with more practise?

one thing i'm finding really annoying is in some corners the wheel refuses to let me down shift, is it a feature?!?

please bare in mind i don't drive. ;)

okay.. my lap times r getting sexier n sexier by the minute, still not upto joypad standards though.

Can anyone explain to me the reason why i sometimes cannot shift up or down? usually in corners (perhaps under breaking?).

comments appreciated. :)

practice, practice, practice. Just remember that small corrections are key. Stay away from jerky movements and just practice a lot. It will probably be harder to learn to drive in the game then real life. good luck

Hello...

You must to practice the new Wheel .
Than You have better lap times and much more Fun !!!

If You play the game whif the joypad , The most of the control comes from the drive-help in the Game !!!

That's not the right way ! ( It is only swindling Your selve )

I'm drive only whif my wheel in option (drive-help) Simulation and have a lot of Fun whif it .
I dont like tractioncontrol-help too !

For 1 week, I have insert a better Potentiometer in my wheel .
the first time, my lap times are roughly 5 secs slower as bevore !
Now I love the tuning and have better times than bevore !

only practice makes perfect :D

So long

okay guys, thanks for the words of wisdom. :)

i've been practising like mad for a few hours, funnily enough werner_winkles i've been playing it today with the traction control and anti-spin settings disabled, it's much easier than i thought it would be, just need to remember not to slam the gas pedal down after a tight bend. ;)

btw Werner Winkels... whif = with, bevore = before, yourselve = yourself - otherwise pretty good english m8. :)

thanks again for the advice guys, i'm off to practise. :D

Hello TopGun

It is verry nice from You , to correct my bad english, otherwise
I cant make better for the nxt time.

I like the english speech , but at that time in school , I'm dont like to learn faithful .

Now I have have the problems and must to catch up on everything .

I'm apparently to overconfident with my english knowledge .
In the last time I'm often insert writing's , without checking !
Sorry.

Best wishes from Germany
Werner

I sure haven't practiced much with my wheel..........I have had it for a few months now and used it maybe 3 times. It's not that easy for me to play as much as I want, since I have a 16 month old daughter wanting to get into everything! :) So that makes it a bit more tough to drive more.
