Finally found our connection problem. But its STILL not fixed!!

The last 3 weeks we have been having problems online. We get kicked off line every 30-45 minutes. This means hosting a room the last 3 weeks was almost impossible. We tried our router, our cables, and even replaced our modem. Finally had our internet provider come out and inspect the lines. He found out that a couple blocks down there is a tree rubbing on the lines!! Also some other lines outside were bad too. So he replaced some of the damaged items and now we are about 89% fixed. He said that in the next day or 2 there should be someone on the other block to fix the final lines then we will be at 100% again. :D
Just wanted to state that we have had Comcast cable internet for over 4 years and this is the only major problem we have ever had.
 
We had a problem that was similar. We have underground lines here because of the storms we get. Our lines filled up with water and ceased operation.
 
Last night went real well. We tested or connection in Halo 2 and I didnt notice any problems. Tonight will be the ultimate test because I will be on quite late because its the beginning of my mini-vacation and I will be online.:sly:
 
I am beyond frustrated. This is almost a month later and its still not fixed. The third technician is coming to our house tomorrow to check again. Luckily they are going to credit me for half a month of my service since I have not been satisfied. They keep saying its some amp or something outside our house causing us to have a weak signal. I dont know if I should keep filing and calling in complaining or go to a different internet provider. Comcast cable is supposed to be the best in our area but this last month makes me want to pull my hair out. :grumpy:
Its real bad once Heather gets on her 360 online the same time I am on mine.
 
I had that before but it's because we wired up our Optimum Online ourselves and we didn't get the cable tested. Now we're ALWAYS online except for when some one from SBC or another company comes and tinkers with our wires for some one elses house. GRR.
