Hey, I'm psyched I found a gt3 board, nice!

Since I'm brand new I have a few comments, I'm sorry if they're played out or whatever.

Why the fvck is there no "overhead" or 3rd person view? I think it's a conspiracy but the game makers to force you to play inside the car. Luckily I've gotten used to it and am addicted, well I'm here right?

Right now I'm rocking the Mercedes CLK touring car and is quite nice. As an experiment I sold it and bought the all-mighty Escudo I remembered from gt2. I put the max turbo boost too (1700+hp?) but the thing is a beast to control! Is it just me or is it a conspiracy by the game makers to make the Escudo less dominant then it was in gt2? It bounces off walls like it used to, goes from 0-200 in a few seconds but turning w/ dirt on each side is a biiaatch.

So what is the best car in the game now? I read some stuff about the diablo but I'm playing it on PS2, are you all using a computer and steering wheels, etc.?

When should one put a transmission into a car? I've actually hurt a bunch of cars by using one it seems.

thanks all,

peace

If you watch a replay with the race option, you will see some of the phatest views ever. And a few of them would be PERFECT for when you play. I dont know why they put in those great views only to taunt you with them while you watch a replay! It seems to choose randomly which of these other views are used when it switches from the traditional "road cam" but if you pit dureing the replay, keep hitting X and it will switch between the bumper cam and all those cool views. the best one i've seen is set centerline right above the windshield. It looks truely awesome if you see this view in an F1 car. MMANN it pisses me off  as for the tranny, you should put one in when you start adding HP to your car. because a high HP engine will have to much power for a stock tranny, you wont change gears well, and they will tend to stay in redline for a long time, which means you just peel out and barely move. and the best car in game? to many hot cars to choose from 8) as of now, my favorite is the Zonda Race car, but i might change my mind when i get ahold of the diablo. and speaking of which, no they arent playing on computers. they are just useing thier computers to transfer a savegame they downloaded from this board to thier memory cards on PS2. oh and, welcome to GTPlanet! :D

You can switch your driving view by hitting the R1 button. You can go to full screen rearview with L1.

The best non-formula 1 car in the game has been widely debated (: The top ranking cars so far are the Mazda 787B, Nissan R390 LM Race Car, and the Toyota GT One Race Car. Three very different cars, three very FAST cars. They all hug the turns like nobody's business too.

The Escudo is still pretty phat. You just have to know how to let off the accelerator. It's awsome on dirt!

You can also change the replay cams by pressing R1 to go inside, then the arrow pad buttons to change your perspective on the car. There are a couple different replay options as well. You might want to check out the music one for a really trippy play back (:

Hit the black search button at the top of the page and search for some of these topics. They've been discussed in major detail. It's good stuff.

Hello, and welcome to GTPlanet, resident! :D

A really good car is the Tommy Kaira ZZII. :)

It is for me. It handles real well, and has good accelleration and can keep up with faster cars well. :)

Yeah I 2 love the ZZII, I just did a 1:08.381 at Apricot with one!

That sounds fast. I'll have to check and see what my record is for that track.

THAT ZZII IS THE SWEETEST, ONLY TROUBLE IS I WON IT IN WHITE, THAT IS SO UNFAIR, I NEED A BLUE, BLACK OR RED VERSION....

AS FOR THE VIEW POINT I LOVE THE BONNET CAM, I CAN'T PLAY IT ANY OTHER WAY! :)
