So after countless years of waiting, I've finally got my very own PS3 and GT5 combo. I just started, and in just 2 hours, I have already obatained:

The B license
The A license

The sunday cup completed
The world compact car championship completed

My garage already consists of:

Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2011
Daihatsu concept (The one with 63 HP.)
Nissan mm-r cup car
Toyota vitz euro
Mazda Miata
The go kart (awesome.)

My game, however, still needs updates. (I only updated 1 out of 9... Loading took ages and I was impatient:sly: )

As if right now I am still level 6, thanks to this I was able to afford the Subaru. Handling is very pristine. The paint schemes and the graphics of these cars are astounding, especially the interior of the cars!

Although I only spent 2 hours playing, this game is a lot of fun. However, by the looks of things, I have a VERY long way to go. There is more to do after the pro leagues. I'm kinda scared that there will be a section that there is a championship race with 15 laps per race (again...). But if so, I'm totally looking forward to it. I recommended this game to 2 friends already. I give this game 2 thumbs up. It was worth the price......but for now, I gotta finish updating the 8 leftover updates....

Here's a little tip do the NASCAR seasonals (you don't need a NASCAR). You get 1.5 million for winning and 400,00 xp. Have fun!

Ahhh, the joy of first getting a GT game.
I have my complaints, but I do hope you enjoy it. 👍

 I don't want to spoil the surprise for you. ;)

A - He has to finish updates first.
B - That would completely ruin the game just starting out IMO.
C - It's closed. - (over)

It's supposed to be a struggle for cash in the beginning, just not all the way to finish. ;)

Thanks. I also want to make the most out of this game, so once I get every thing set up, I should be able to race online with people in this site. But soon!

Edit: oh jeez, for nascar? Better get started with the updates.

Hmm... I could use some exp help. One of my favorite rally cars (The stratos rally car.) is beyond my reach.

Haha yea man
You got the seasonals now
Before seasons it was alot tougher to get money
But due to the seasonals people dont really remote race as much so your gonna have to do B-Spec on your own ... unless you find someone to remote race them.
Oh yea and you can install the updates while your sleep :sly:

I remote race myself, since I'm more reliable then the people I tried to add were.

I have to wonder with the new points since updates how far all the events in each will take you, I know before B-Spec pretty much meant having to do each race three times for level 40.

Welcome to GTPlanet. Now go buy a wheel! You would not regret the mild investment for a DFGT or something comparable. We'll have you hooked yet.

I would be kicking myself if I hadn't had it for 10 months. It sounds like you're having the same reaction I did. The only reasons I haven't logged thousands of hours in it yet is I write fiction and music for a hobby, and both are very time consuming. Plus, there is this hideous monster I fight every week called Work... ugh, so overrated.

Forza 4 may put a big speed bump in my GT5 time, but that remains to be seen. Another game I'm looking forward to much more, Battlefield 3, that may be my achilles heel for a few weeks.

By the way, serious second that, getting a DFGT wheel.

I can't update while I sleep, my dad just so happens to sleep where my PS3 is (for now until I move out.) so it looks like i'll do it when he leaves for work. And then I will return to sleep. Trust me, if it wasn't for him, I would play this game til 2 in the morning. I want to put racing modifications on my Subaru.

Will buy the wheel after I get a job. I'm psyched about this.

How long does is it gonna take for me to get a nascar automobile? How much does it cost?

500K, but the NASCAR seasonal is closed, so you have to be level 21 to drive any NASCAR.....car.

Congratulations, go buy a 458 Italia, tune it up and take it to the Festa Cavallino seasonals and rack up. :)

458 italia? Alright, got it. I will look for it later. I got some licenses to obtain first. And not to mention levels to level up. From what I see so far, the Seasonals are really benefical.

Quick question, I did not see test course in the practice menu, is it in the game at all or do I need to unlock it/ buy it/ etc?

In a way I feel sorry for people just starting now. They do a few seasonals and get any car they want. When us oldtimers fired up the game, it took a little time to get the real good cars.

Haha i think I only did the beginner races in bspec and im at level 37 bspec thanks to remote race.
I made atleast 600k everyday doing nothing ... well i remote raced quite a bit myself
I rarely used my drivers when remote racing because they were all always racing.
I started bspec after I finished all apec races besides the enduros.I was at I think level 35 thatnks to alot of online races.
I went from bspec level 0 to 37 in the amount of time it took me to get from aspec level 35 to 37 lol

You get top gear track by beating the top gear special event I think
thats at level 15 ... I think

Here is my tip:

Don't do any seasonal's until you get to level 25 or so. You will enjoy the game more, the process of saving for cars you want if you just do A-spec and Special events first. If you jump straight into seasonals you will level up quick and buy stuff way too quick. Once you get to that point enjoy all the great races seasonals have to offer, plus the great cash and XP.

Enjoy the game and PS3. P.S. check out the Uncharted games. Besides GT5 they are my favorite this generation.

Edit: the test track isn't in the game, sorry.

Alright, i'll wait. But since there is no test course, what about Talladega? That's as good as test course. I'll look and see if theres any other alternatives as well.

Once I get bored or what not, I will try out my 2 other games, (Midnight club L.A and Tom Clancy's HAWX 2. Waiting for Ace combat Assault Horizon to come to stores.)

I did all my seasonals last..just a few more to go. I wanted to see how far I could get without buying a car and that made the game so much more fun.. Just a few more enduros to go in both specs (the long ones)

Just finished updating....no talladega, but la sarthe will have to do. Anyways, what steering wheel would go best with this game?

Most people play with a G25 or G27 but those are mad expensive. Try to get something cheaper. Most used ones are around $50+ USD and new are $110+ USD. Some cokcpits are near $1000 USD.

This is the all time best wheel you can get (hint it's inside)

Daytona is in the game. And look for Special Stage Route 7 too. Basically a highway of nothing but pure speed. And hard braking at the end of the roads

And if you do wanna make the game truly better, don't do the seasonals so early. You'll get too much money too early. And when you do do all the updates, try online's Race for Real races because they can be actually good when some idiot is not ramming about to annoyance. Or just play the safe option and don't race online at all (except for on here with the Racing Series of course), just Free Run, drag, drift to death. ;)

Just to inform you: The Stratos Rally Car is a prize car for the A-Spec Historic Racing Car Cup. You'll need a pretty decent fast old car to win it though. :)

Indeed. When you get to the Historic Racing Car Cup, expect to not beat it for a while. If you want to eat it, win the B-Spec Like the Wind (which in itself is not an easy event to win without the Stealth DLC) and get yourself the Toyota 7 and you should have little trouble.

Also, when you start B-Spec and win the even harder version of said event in B-Spec, you will win the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2, which is easily one of the best cars in the whole game. Even at stock level, trust me, you will drive it and love it. Getting one now though is a nightmare with the trading limit and the 10 mil Cr. price for it normally, plus the added difficulty in beating the event you have to win it in (it's only the Cote d'Azur race really, Deep Forest is OK but Cote d'Azur tends to be just stupid).

I support this statement. The TZ2 is one of the best cars in the game. Slow but is easily fun yet simple. The other historic cars like the 330 P4 is on par, but the TZ2 is friendly to every driver. I was lucky to have a very nice member donate a ticket to me for the car :D
