I found it cheap at Walmart, and bought the DVD. I cant believe this movie is so cheap (the price), because if we are talking about content, then this movie is very underrated. Compared to the many overrated fiction and romance war crap that is on sale; *cough* Star Wars *cough* Pearl Harbor *cough*(sorry star war geeks) and at very high prices, this movie at this price is a complete steal.
Well, lets see, about the content. I am not going to spoil the fun to you. The movie was made in 2000. The major characters are perfomed by Samuel L.Jackon "Colonel Terry Childers" and Tommy Lee Jones "military lawyer Hays Hodges". I was amazed by the excellent acting from these two stars. The combat scenes are well done, and nothing is done for no special purposes. Basically every scene was done thinking of the possible consequences it would bring.
Talking about special features, the DVD has some. Dolby Surround sound, but I wasnt able to take advantage of it, as my surround sound system, doesnt have it, but cranked to the max volume, I was able to hear every freaking bullet. It has a behind the scenes feature, and director commentary.
I was dying to see this movie from time ago. I would always hear from friend about this movie being really good. The best movie I had seen was Saving Private Ryan, but that was until I saw this one, and I can finally say that this is the best darn movie flick I have ever seen, even though, there are less combat scenes and less gore, but it aims more for the drama and suspense. I thought this movie had more of a "Black Hawk Down" perspective.
I even learned some things I didnt know, like what an ambassador should do if were on the position of leaving the embassy.
