How comes when trying to find all posts by any user, it only gives you there last 100 posts?

To save the load on the server, all searches are limited to 100 results.

To find more posts, you can use the advanced search at the top right of the screen, and restrict the search to certain forums, and dates.

You can also sort results by date in reverse order using the Advanced search options (for example, if you wanted to find a user's first posts).

So this is one of the reasons we're no longer seeing server overload every time the number of online users creeps past 3000-ish, then?

Just wondering, what else has been done to help the servers cope? Are we prepared for the excitement of release day?

That 100-result limit has actually been in place for a while now. I've tweaked and tuned the software and server to get more performance out of the current hardware to cope with the current rush. Let's hope it is enough to get us through release day.

That's good to hear, It was always a shame to see the forums go down at the most critical times!

And yes, fingers crossed they will cope with release day. Hopefully the activity will be kept from getting too high by the fact that everyone will be busy playing GT5.
