Fireballs? Definitely not fireworks.

Has anyone else seen those and could anyone tell me what it is? I would suppose it's some kind of glitch. First time I saw it was about one month ago in an online free run session on the Nordschleife. I was driving between Adenauer Forst and Metzgefeld and saw it in the distance just above the horizon on the night sky. It lasted for half a seond so it puzzled me and I wondered if my eyes were starting to trick me after too many hours of play. Then the other night I saw it again in another online race. It looks like distant meteors with the only difference being that they seem to go upwards. What is it?
 
I understand why you find it hard to believe but it's not something I have been lucky enough to catch with a camera. I actually doubt it would be visible in replays. I assume someone else would have seen it in their game?
 
Your guesses are as good as mine. Somehow I think it's related to the position of other players. The first time I saw it I noticed that there were other players on the track in the same direction as I saw the fireball. I could tell by looking on the in-game map but still the other players were as far away as Breidscheid and Bergwerk (Nürburgring). So I wondered if it could be related to other players crashing or something? That just wouldn't make sense as there are no dramatic crash effects when you do crash yourself. I hope I'm not the only one who has seen this because it's not easy to be convincing when you are one against a thousand.
 
If it was night and it was raining, it's probably the brake light illuminating the car's trail of water. Probably in a fast and distant car.
 
I've also seen this, was puzzled at first.

Happens online when the room is quite full. It does look like rockets been launched. I saved a replay of a race when this occurred but it didn't show up, so I presume it's something related to the way the game 'positions' players on track and similar to how a car moves erratically and magically all over the place when they suffer form lag.
 
i'm not to sure what you on about because i dont think i've seen it but my thought is...

It could e the glare of from the sun when its raiseing from the scenery or again ALIENS lol
 
Maybe it was another car climbing up to the carussel. The car would get drawn, but the track and scenery wouldn't as it was too far away. the car would then look like it was climbing through the air.

Interesting as this could explain the fireball effect. Could be front / back lights being lagged all over the place.

I think I have seen this too but it looked different. Nothing irregular except the fact that the distant car wasn't supposed to be visible.
