What kind of fireflies (or lightning bugs, as I like to call them) go you have in your area? The two kind I've seen are the ones which slowly glows and then fades and on that quickly flickers.

I've noticed a decline of the glowers and more of the flickers come. 3 or 4 years ago, all I saw were glowers. Then, I started seeing the the flickers and now I only see the glowers in the country. There are flickers in our yards now.
 
The only time I see Fireflies is when I am out at the lake somewhere. Dont think they hang out around the cities much, and I'm not sure if they are the "glowers or flickers" I'll have to make a not to myself next time I see them.

We also have these little annoying Fireflys that scurry down our raods...but the only flickering they do, is with their hoods up!
 
The only bugs we had that would light up were ants that we poured plumbers glue on and light on fire. We missed out here in So Cal. :(
 
Theres a few fireflys flying around my pool.

Yes, sad. When I was little I had a favorite book about kids catching fireflies. I wanted to go catch some for real, but couldn't since we lived here. I missed out on some fun of catching fireflies. Although, I bet those of you who can don't really think it's that big of a deal.
