I just updated my Fanatec CSR from Firmware 706 to 737 AND updated my driver to 142 and having some issues. It seems the FFB is very different from my old Firmware. When Im driving in a straight line the wheel is VERY touchy...Also I adjusted my Sen from 270 to 530 so this might be my issues....I lowered my FFB from 100 to 80 and it seemed to help a little but then I lost "feeling" when I was in the corners...Is there anything I might can do or maybe I just need to Flash back to 706??...Below are my settings as of right now...

Also I want to add that I see most people are using a sensitivity of 530 or above, but when I set it any higher than 270 I get the problem that Im talking about...Maybe its just I got to get used to the higher sensitivity....

Sensitivity (SEn): 270
Force feedback strength (FF): 80
Vibration strength (Sho): 100
Drift mode (dri): 5
ABS: 0
Linearity (Lin): 0
Deadzone (dEA): 0
Spring (SPr): -2
Damper (dPr):3

The FFB drop might be from the sys. update Xbox had a few months back , if I reading your post correctly. I always check for the controller icon after pushing the guide button when I turn my wheel on. If its there I turn the wheel off then back on until it does not show up. You also should leave the FFB on your wheel at 100 and adjust it in game to 80. I use 540 and am still using 706 fw,( I'm one who believes if it's not broke don't fix it) Although it would be nice to check out the ACL.

I didnt mean to sound like the FFB was dropping.....It feels like its doing the opposite...VERY STRONG...I notice it more when Im driving straight and any little turn I make on the wheel it counter-acts and then I go into a fishtale....I hope you understand what I mean....BUT I will change my FFB on the wheel to 100 and then adjust the FFB in the game and see how that is.....

It could be you are just not use to it, I've been using 540 ever since I have had my wheel ,I breifly tried 900 and it was okay with road cars(FM4). I have gotten so use to 540 w/706FW I hate to change it. These are my setting.

sens 540
ffb 100
sho 100
dr 3
abs 70
lin 20
dea 0
spr 2
dpr -3

I believe my in game settings(FH) are all default with the exception of FFB set to 70
I also have it set on expert but change the asst. I usually leave everything off, manuel w/clutch, but i do perfer normal steering over sim steering. Just like in FM4 it just feels more natural to me.

Reading your post reminded me that I changed my steering from sim to normal when I was playing Horizon and it kept the same settings coming back to FM4..Didn't realize it remembered settings....anyway..I changed it back to Sim and it felt a little better but for the life of me I cannot drive any of my cars if I go over 270 sensitivity.....

I think it's just a matter of getting used to it. 270 deg sensitivity requires very small driving inputs, and the FFB at the same time turns the wheel less "against" your input, when compared to say 540 SEN. If you understand what I mean.

Like if you get in to a drift with 270SEN, the FFB countersteers X degrees, and with twice the SEN (540 degrees), the FFB countersteer would be 2X, or something like that. I'm not sure if it's that linear but.. :p

So the FFB isn't actually stronger, the movements are just bigger. 👍

Hope you understand something of this, I'll try to explain better if you don't :D

That makes sense Forcone...I just cannot see for the life of me how or even WHY you would want to drive where even the smallest movement you are flying all over the track...Maybe my tunes for my cars are a little "tight"..dont know..But I do know Ill stick with 270 for right now......

Hmm.. Basically it shouldn't be like that. It should be the opposite in fact in my opinion! Bigger SEN -> more degrees -> same driver input as with 270 SEN means less actual turning of the wheel in the game. So more SEN should make the car fly less all over the track... :D I still think it's a matter of getting used to. It takes hours and hours of driving to go from a long use of 270 degrees to say 540, which I for instance use nowadays. Maybe you're just trying to drive it a bit like with 270 deg, which means you first make an input too small, overdo it a bit, and then either make a too small correction or overdo it as well which makes the car fishtail or something like that... Could this be the case?

I used to drive everything with 900 degs when I was using my G25 mainly. Now with the Fanatec GT2 I just tend to use 540 as the wheel is a bit too heavy and too slow.. :p With 900 SEN it is just so slow that driving feels very unnatural, say catching a drift for example.

I think the smaller the SEN, the easier the "basic driving" is, but 270 is on the edge of being "too small", as you'll be losing a lot of accuracy. At least I would. But these are all personal preferences! 540 just seems to be a good compromise for me 👍

Now you got me all confused......Guees I need to look at some youtube videos and try to see what exactly 900 degrees on a wheel looks like....I can tell you this...When Im driving in cockpit view with 270 degrees on my wheel the wheel on my tv screen turns at the same rate as my fanatec wheel.....

Heheh, sorry about that! Yeah look into it. Even 900 deg is still less than most real life cars. I can't even drive with cockpit view as that wheel bothers me too much

^^I dont drive in cockpit view either but for my experiment with my degrees of the wheel I put into cockpit view.....Next time you power up play in cockpit for a minute or two and see what the in game wheel does when you turn.....

Ah alright then. :) From what I remember that 270SEN should be about 1:1 ratio with the cockpit-cam wheel - just like you said. It looks really stupid if you're drifting for example: you make huge two-turn-corrections on the wheel with your hands and sweat flying all over the place and the guy in the car just calmly points the wheel a bit into the apex..
