A friend called me over the other day with Prologue. His younger brother brought it over. The friend obviosly didn't like it because hes a PGR fan. Yeah, hes one of those. Anyway, OMG, the graphics especially on that HD 52' inch are phenomonel. Simple amazing. I also loved the fact that they stayed true to GT4 controls. On the flip side, I didn't really like how the steering feel isn't as sharp as in GT4. You need to hold the steering for quite awhile to get the most out of your turns, or to make the cars react. Which appeals even less now to non enthusiastic game racers. But Im sure it was all for the simulation purposes. It takes getting use to, I know, but maybe the PS3 remote isn't really meant to be used here. Hope the steering wheel gives alot better feel. I still managed to get into 1st on 76 difficulty on Suzuka with a lightly tuned white E90 M3. Wow, what a beautiful car!

I know what you mean about the steering seeming slow. I noticed that too at first and it REALLY bothered me. But I must have gotten use to it because I've had the game a few weeks now and I don't notice any issues with steering anymore. Only issues with other drivers online smashing me into the wall to knock me out of first..... Have you Raced online yet?

Yeah, these things just take time. It took me quite awhile to get use to GT4 from GT3 as well. So it's ok.

I havn't raced online yet. But I am looking forward to it. How are the drivers there? Good competition Im guessing. Anythings better then the AI, hehe.. If they keep smashing you, is there a way to turn off collision? I know some online racers have that feature.

You can't turn off collision. And collisions happen a lot. I would say that 1 out of 3 races are good clean races. Your best bet online are the expert races. there really are no online options to edit anything to do with the race. You just pick a race type and the game puts you in the race with random people. It is pretty fun though, and by far the best way to make money on the game. First place in the expert pays 45,000.

I know, I just played. I couldn't get passed 2nd place because people behind kept crashing into me before the final few turns. Frustrating indeed, but I really hope the full version gives you the ability to make rules. Some tough competition out there as well.

I also noticed it lags alot. My friend has cable. I bet it was the other people playing on 56k :scared:

I was actually pretty surprised at how smooth it runs on my connection. It seems to run with less lag than forza2 does.

when the update comes out we will be able to turn off collisions ;)

Hi this is my first post so it might be a little rusty.Well to get back on topic,i bought gran turismo 5 prologue recently. When i bought it i did not know what the word Prologue meant.I did not know it was a big demo of the game.So if you buy it keep it in mind that the real game does not come out till 2009,or it should not be out till then.(All people that look at this, keep in mind im 12 and i have not so good grammer so its not perfect,im sorry.)

It's good enough buddy.

Well, I got the game and while I feel better about Prologue than I did about the older GT5 demos this just doesn't inspire much. I don't have that urge to jump on this game and drive. I actually don't feel like I'm driving sometimes too, I guess because the lack of sense of speed? :indiff:

WHAT?

Maybe a seat that will bounce up and down? to simulate the bumps in the road

Even though, I don't have a problem with this sense of speed thing, all my friends who "aren't" true GT fans or car enthusiasts feel that way about all GT games, not just GT5. But GT5 is a bit slower then GT4, IMO.

I have more of a problem with the heavy steering feel I mentioned earlier. But it's something to get use to.

^^^

I went back to GT3 a few months ago, and even though it was pretty fun, I noticed why GT4 was an improvement in everyway. GT3 feels so 3Dish, and computer rendered-like, it's not even funny. Everything is so jumbo sized there.

Huh? Just adding a million rx-7s, skylines, subies, and evos is NOT an improvement. I guess physics isn't too high on your list eh...? Man, GT4 was a big step backwards. I mean, the might as well, put all front wheel drive cars in there.

Huh? except for the backrounds, GT3's cars looked just as good as GT4's...

As dorky as this sounds... I absolutely love the new in-cabin view

Yeah, me too. Takes some getting use to though.

I can't really talk about physics, because neither game feels like real life. But in terms of cars, graphics, and tracks, GT4 wins. They didn't just put a bunch of the same type of car. They have all types of cars that GT3 can't even come close to.

Maybe so, but having 1 of 2 doesn't actually make something better.

Plus there was only 2 driving views. No hood view at all. And the 3rd person view makes you see the car more then anything else. Too close, IMO.
