Last night Sony unveiled the full-length version of its latest BRAVIA ad spectacular on ITV1 during the Man Utd v FC Copenhagen Champions League match. Did you see it? Fun, eh?
Well, that's all very nice, but of course it was in standard definition.
Tonight, Sony will show the ad on Sky Sports 2 HD during the UEFA Champions League match between Chelsea and Barcelona, making it the first UK advert to be shown in high definition.
It will be interesting to see who they're targeting with this advert. After all, anyone watching the match in their own home will already own a high-defintion TV and Sky HD box. But, what about those watching down the pub, or round at the mates' house? They're the sports fans without HD that probably want it most during a football match.
