Yes - very influenced by the Allard J2 from the same period, but that is unsurprising as it was one of the dominant racing cars of that era.

I found this video clip of Bridgehampton 1951 - you can see the Fitch-Whitmore Special 21 seconds in, just behind several J2 Allards and next to an XK120 Jaguar. The overall race winner was Tommy Cole in a J2 Cadillac Allard.
