Hi,
I've been running wireless ps3 and getting disconnected ALL the time from online lobbies. I also run a macbook pro in the same room, also on wireless.
So, I've now shared my internet from the macbook pro via ethernet cable to the ps3, and I am no longer getting disconnected from lobbies.
It seems that the macbook's wireless is much more stable, and receives a stronger signal from my router.
I used the methods described here
http://forums.macnn.com/92/networking/323056/mac-os-x-internet-sharing-playstation/2/
While the link references a wireless ps3 connection, I had to do the same steps to get my ps3 working wired to the mac. Same file edits.
Hopefully this can help someone out.
