Hey guys, I just recently finished making my rig at work and getting it all setup in my basement, and when I finally clamped down my DFGT, the clamp broke again. It had broke once before but held up for a while with some super glue. Well, being that I work at a metal shop... I figure I'd go ahead and make some clamps today that I would be sure would never break (wish the dfgt had hard mount points)
Anyway, here is what I came up with. Keep in mind this was a one day project and I didn't really care much about making it pretty, since you don't even see much of them.
Clamps made of 3/4 steel.

They butt down right onto the little plates that the old clamps did.

I glued some little rubber pads to the bottom of the clamps too, so it holds real well on my mounting plate. Makes the wheel heavier too, feels more expensive ;)

I need to do this now. I got my G27 on Christmas and the first time I moutned it to my table, the right camp snapped, followed by the left side partially snapping, but that one's holding up somehow. I ruined the table by using Vice-Grips, which cut my hands and rubbed against thighs when I had my DFP with both clamps snapped.
