Fixed: Template layer group issue question

I posted this in the iRacing forum but no one seems to have had the same problem.
my issue is that I can't open the main two layer groups in Gimp, I have since learned that PSE was not designed with this feature. on the right is my layer tool bar, how do I open the two of them, it used to do it automatically.


At the vary least if I can't get this resolved can someone send my the SLM and Ruf templates already ungrouped, preferably in PSD please.

Update: issue fixed there was an issue with the template itself. I re-downloaded it from Trading paints again and it works in Gimp. I have learned that elements doesn't support layer groups so I export the document from gimp with only one layer at a time and then import the layers (now just separate files) and use them as separate layers in PSElements since I am more familiar with PSE
