After searching many threads and forums, I found a fix that worked for me and I am here to share it with all of you.
My poor kids, since the last major update, Netflix has not worked on the Wii U.
You would launch Netflix, the red Netflix screen would come up with the loading circle. Sometimes the screen would freeze, go black, or just sit there spinning.
I have deleted the associated data and Netflix and reinstalled multiple times trying to get it to work. Finally I found something that did work.
Change your DNS settings from "Auto Detect" to "Don't Auto Obtain" and manually set the DNS entries to the following:
Primary DNS: 4.2.2.1
Secondary DNS: 4.2.2.2
Once I did that, Netflix loaded right up.
