So ... after a few years occasional use of my T500 wheel there is a malfunction in the pedal unit - specifically, the clutch pedal does not work properly. It has been hard to diagnose because the clutch pedal works sporadically & it has not always been obvious whether it has been a software problem - something to do with the game (AC & PCars), or the pedal. It is now pretty clear that it is the pedal - my guess is that the potentiometer is not working.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? My choices appear to be;
1) Get a new potentiometer from Thrustmaster & install it - not sure how straightforward it would be to obtain the potentiometer & how easy it would be to install.
2) But a new set of pedals - $149 apparently, which is not too bad ... but seems stupid to throw away the old pedals just because a small part isn't working.
3) Buy an adaptor to allow me to use my old G25 pedals with the T500.
Any thoughts? Anyone replaced the potentiometer on the T500 pedals?
