Flash 5 / Flash mx compatibility question

I'm doing a tutorial for fly-out menus in Flash 5. But'm doing it on Flash MX. Are they compatible? Everything was going fine until I got to the part where I have to make a frame label. Here my screen looks different and I'm having trouble.

So I guess the question is: How do I create a frame label in Flash MX? I don't think what I need is currently visible on my screen.

I was confused when I was making frame labels I didn't know how to do them but its easy!

Just click on the desired frame and open the properties thing down the bottom.

Where it says Frame and there's a box underneath it write your desired frame title in there.
 
Because of my wide aspect monitor, text in programs is really distorted. The properties box is almost impossible to read. I need to figure out how to fix that. But that's why I couldn't find it. Thanks for answering.
 
Doesn't your video card have some widescreen resolution?
 
Probably. But I don't know how to change it and I can't find the manual.
