How do you make a flash movie clip play only once and not repeat?

*edit*

Bah... never mind I figured it out.

*edit again*

Okay I guess not. It's looping and I don't want it to. When I published it I unchecked Loop. Is there something else I need to do?

Add a stop action to the last frame of your movie.

To do this, go to last frame of your movie and press F9. Under Movie Control in the right pane, double click on the stop action. Now your movie should stop when it reaches the last frame.

Note - If you put the stop action in the middle of the movie, the movie will stop in the middle of the movie. So make sure you have selected the last frame.

Eddy's on the right track here. As a tip to using actions in Flash, I've found it easier to have a "Action" layer. Create a new layer, and use it just for global actions like "stop", "goto", "stop all sounds" ect...

Good explaination Eddy!

Thanks to both of you. I'll do that tonight. I ended up making it stop in Dreamweaver. In the properties inspector there is a loop box and I unchecked it.
