I thought since there is a way to give your car a supershine, maybe there is a way to do just the opposite...

Say you take a black car, dull the paint.... Then you have a flat black car.......

I am quite interested in making this a reality, but I have not figured out how, as of yet....

Has anyone else had any luck, or knows how to do this?........

;)

About time you posted here boombexus, I thought you died or something. Let me do some testing, I have done it in the past.
silviadrifter, what coding device are you using?

Still alive and kickin my friend. Things in life and work have really limited my time here.

So how you been?

Oh, and you got a way to do this on MK's?

On GT3Times, I posted this exact same question. Famine, the person that replied said this:
"Try -2.

0 is the last number on the shine scale - representing the top of it (all values in GT3 seem to cycle to a given point - like 255 for the downforce or 65535 for the power multiplier - then start again. 0 represents the maximum on that cycle without having to actually KNOW the value).
-1 is the default value for any part/setting.
-2 should therefore be the lowest part on any scale - here representing the dirtiest possible car. "

I tried it a while ago but I forgot if it worked out right.

Are you saying try -2, or 2?

It's 488 in the .ini. I don't believe -2 had any affect when I tried it. 2 or any other positive value edited onto that line should give you the supershine. This has all been done in the past. Honestly, I messed around with it a bit yesterday and got bored. I may look into it again, just that I really don't care if the car is shiny or dirty, lol.
