Is there a decent flight game for pc, possibly with fighters like F-16, F15, Mig, etc, no WWII stuff that can be controlled with the mouse?

I know about Lock-on but I feel it's too complicated, I have no time to learn 50 buttons just to take off. Anyone has Hawx for pc? Can you use the mouse?

Graphic is not my priority, even if it's old but it's a good game I'm interested, the only thing I want is the possibility to use widescreen resolutions.

Ace Combat. Definitely worth it to give it a go :)

Edit
PS Ace Combat is only available on consoles. Didn't see that you wanted a pc game. My bad...

I have a Ps3 as well, about the last Ace Combat I've tried the demo but I'm definitely not sure about the new feature when you follow your rival you have to wait until the game "allow" you to kill him, it feels very artificious. Look. WTF is that.

Nowdays developers, they simply RUIN everything.
Not to mention the uber annoying music. I remember in the demo wasn't possible to turn that **** off.

Well, you have Vector Thrust, which is in alpha stages right now. It is essentially like the older PS2 Ace Combats (which were VERY good games), except cel-shaded and for PC. Also is moddable, as shown in this vid with my own F-59A Saber II:

As the game is still in development it has a few issues, not to mention incomplete content. But I see GREAT potential in this game, as do many of my flight game loving friends...

They indeed ruined AC with that 🤬, and with the on-rail helicopter shooting bits.
Also as it appears nowadays no game is complete without an AC-130 shooting bit in it, that's getting really old. :yuck:
The main reason why I hooked up my old PS2 again so I could play the good AC's again.

While I didn't think AC: AH was a bad game, it wasn't a good one either. But, when you compare it to older AC games, it just looks so... mainstream. Like a flying CoD to please the casual gamers while kicking classic AC fans in the nuts.

Anyway right now, outside of VT, most PC flight games are sims, very few arcade style games around like AC, and most of those arcade style games are WWII. I guess flight games really aren't that popular these days...

I have both HAWX games, they're really not great as sims (I mean I know they're not sims but they are to flying what Burnout is to driving; completely unconvincing) but they're entertaining enough... But if I'd paid more than £2.50 for either I would be disappointed. You just missed the Steam sale, unfortunately. I know you specified no WWII planes but try the Wings of Prey demo anyway, it's absolutely gorgeous to look at if nothing else.

Other than that, the only games/sims I can think of that feature modern jets are DCS: A-10C (but that's mega ultra hardcore), Arma II (which is difficult with the mouse but doable) and Battlefield 3, but that's hardly ideal. All the best ones are WWII; IL-2 is still considered one of the best combat flight sims and Wings of Prey, as I mentioned, is awesome. Again I only paid £2.50 for that but I think I would've bought it for £10 had I found it outside of the Steam sale. You might still be able to get it in one of the indie bundles that are on Steam now, a £10 game plus four others (no idea if they're good or not) for £7 is an alright deal.

Also I noticed you didn't say 'no helicopters' or that it HAD to be jets; Take On Helicopters and DCS: Black Shark are a couple of good chopper sims. TOH is great with a mouse though the cyclical is a little tricky with a keyboard.
