12 tracks.

Any stock rally car with the word "rally" in its name. No upgrades other than dirt & snow tires. No NOS will be allowed. Tuning is allowed with stock parts. All cars start with an oil change at the beginning of the series.

Pick a teammate, come up with a team name, and pick your car. Each team member can use a different car.

Best lap for each, practice mode.

Each team member will race each track, and their times will be averaged together to form one time. The lowest average combined time at the end of the series is declared the winner. :)

You have until a week from the date/time of this post to declare your team and vehicles of choice before the series begins. One track a week for twelve weeks.

New rule. In the event that a teammate is unable to participate one week, the remaining player's time will be increased by 25% as a penalty. In the event that BOTH are unable to participate, their time will be declared the same as that of the slowest team with an increase of 50% as a penalty. - 7/06/11

You should start another one of these except with just regular GT cars. Id be all over that.

Good idea. I'm in, but I've had bad news this evening and it will determine if I can participate. So its a definte maybe.

I'd prefer only two members per team. Feel free to create or join a second team, though. :)
 
Then I enter my alter ego George Clooney and me and Bill Murray will form the "The justice team of epicness"
 
I've just finished my A-spec asault on the special conditions (normal) hall, so while I've (hopefully) still got some rally skills left from that, I'll put forward a tentative registration of interest, to see if someone wants to form a team with me.

I don't understand the need for teams, but it doesn't really affect how i'll drive so whatever.

Having said that, as teams are the way this series is set up, if anyone wants to team up with me we should prob be on the same page first.

Option A, I want to win, then group B (RS200, Delta S4, or the 205 Turbo Evo 2)) is prob the way to go.
Option B, I want to drive the easier/mid level cars, if so any WRC car would prob be a safe bet. or
Option C, Alternative, I want to drive something which isn't a 4WD.

I don't really care which, its just we should prob have the same priorities before teaming up. Let me know, then we can start trying to decide which car to use, PM me if nec, though posting in this thread would be better.

Question, does this mean the tarmac races will be run with R1 tyres?

EDIT: looking at first post, it now says team mates can use different cars, so you can disregard pretty much everything (bar the 1st sentance) I said above.

If that's what comes equipped with the car, then yes.

As far as teams go, I thought it would add an interesting twist. If one player rocks and the other sucks, then you get a mediocre average.

I love rallies, but in GT4 driving on loose surfaces is kinda loose :)

Oh, I urge you to give it a shot, Badger. I am suck incarnate at ANYTHING rally. Flynn's probably going to have to carry our team on the non-tarmac courses, but I think it'll be fun. Give it a try and just have fun.

That is, after all, why we're all IN this competition: FUN!!
 
OK I'm in but I'm still scared with post that you wrote yesterday and it is magically gone. Or did I dream about that post and I think it's real and I'm getting crazy? :nervous:
