FM PC settings after update 13

Hi all, after the latest and extensive update (number 13) and its hotfix released on the 14th and 21st, respectively, I've decided to update my PC settings with a target of 1440p.

This is my current build:
CPU and motherboard: Intel's i5 12600KF and Gigabyte's Gaming X B660.
GPU: Zotac's GeForce RTX 4070 Super
RAM: 32 GB of DDR4 memory in dual channel configuration
Storage: 2 TB of SSD storage
PSU: 600 W (Yes it can hold it :scared:)

Notably, I opted out of installing the 22 GB high resolution track textures package on both PC and console. I honestly don't care for more detailed grass and stuff and storage space is precious!

Before update 13 I was running the graphics preset at Ultra, but now I've opted for High, and this should be your target especially if your card has only 8 GB of VRAM. Ultra is a preference, but it will go over the 8 GB limit and near the 12 GB of my graphics card with RT on, but in the High preset I can still play with RT car reflections and ambient occlusion and be under 8 GB of overall VRAM usage.

In the Display tab, resolution scale is set at the default 100% but can be set higher if you feel you want more sharper visuals (the image will downsample to your monitor's resolution), however, there is a cost in VRAM usage and framerates. The antialiasing is set at the default TAA since Nvidia's DLAA produces bad artifacts in fixed objects around the track (the fencing, lamp posts, etc.) and brings down the overall sharpness of the game. The only drawback I see from TAA is that it's too aggressive with the farthest objects, so the mesh in the wire fences is rendered invisible and then appears when you get nearer.

Now, in the graphics tab, anisotropic filtering is set at 16x with no apparent impact on framerates. This setting prevents skid marks on the track to appear as smears. Everything else is set at auto, and car reflections + RTAO is enabled.

After the update there was stuttering present in the track intro/pits/grid flyover sequences, which are generated in real time. This was corrected after the hotfix and these scenes now run smoothly.

As many have noted, the visuals did improve with this update, most notably the overall lighting, car textures, and some trackside detail. One year from its release FM is now a very pleasing game to look at with very adequate performance.

This is the benchmark result, however, it's only a sample of extreme conditions at the Hakone track. In most cases, you will get from 100-130 fps depending on the scenario.

I would love you to comment on, but also share your settings/performance targets regardless of if your card is Radeon, Nvidia or even Intel!
