FM6: Customization and Tuning

Unless I am blind, I can't seem to locate any information on the customization and tuning for the vehicles in FM6. I am really hoping for an expanded feature set and not more of the same.

Does anybody have any information or a link they could share?

I've no qualms with "more of the same", except for wanting more engine swaps in the same style as FM4 (more same-make ones, less general).

IIRC, there may be an upcoming article talking about this aspect in more detail. But if tunes can be brought in from both older games on the One, I can't expect massive changes.

Cool. I wasn't aware of that and will keep my eyes open. The customization features is one of my favorite parts in Forza and I have been puzzled as to why I haven't been able to find anything on it.

Just some new wheel choices that reflect current styles would be nice. HRE and Momo were a pleasant surprise in H2.

Ill be interested to see if wheel colors on the V8s can be changed. The Bottle-O Falcon has gold wheels and The Altima runs silver wheels on the JD cars.

Really. There have been a few additions but some more variety never hurts, and I can't imagine wheels are that difficult to model, considering you only really need to model at most half of a wheel before you can just mirror the design.

That and I'd really like to see more simple thick-spoke designs like the Motegi MR122, and that's not because I'm bias or anything.

But seriously, some more wheel choices could never hurt.

The fact they added DUB but still haven't added a lot of popular sport wheels is honestly kind of disappointing, but I'm always hopeful that they'll step their wheel game up.

I don't know if this has been discussed before but if we can import tunes from FH2 doesn't that mean the off-road tyres, transmission and suspension (from FH2 Storm Island) will be included in FM6? If so that strikes me as an odd decision given that they've left most of the extreme off-road vehicles from FH2 out.

On the bright side, the textures that were there for things like carbon fiber and matte have been hugely improved and now look like the materials they are, as opposed to a vinyl. Or maybe it's just me, but it really seems like the carbon fiber has more depth to it.

But anyway, I made a quick video showing some of these off. Just wish I could change the color after starting without having to restart the whole demo.

Question: does anybody know if T10 finally included aftermarket mufflers and the ability to customize the spoiler's length/width/height?

I want to see this bad boy on the R32

The game looks so polished now. Well done T10.

How did you get to choose standard colours rather than a livery?

WOAH! Plasma style paint!!!! I loved that chip in GT5.

Not sure if it showed it or not, but I just hit Y like I did in FM5 and it worked.

And yeah, I really want to see what different color combos with the plasma style paint look like.

I wouldn't count on it, but as of yet we do not have access to the customization menu's.

Yeah, just approach it the same way that FM5 has it set up.

Thanks for posting the video. Very nice selection of finishes for sure. This is one area T10 has ALWAYS shined in. So I have no complaints at all about the paint customization.

As others have mentioned, it would be nice to see more body kits, wings, wheels, and even more engine / drive train swaps. I am sure there are still some surprises for us when the full game comes out. Really hoping that new Ford GT has a V8 swap. Maybe even the V8 from the original GT40. :D

EVERYTHING I have asked for from the series has returned with F6, other than the auction house and store front. Really hope they have made a huge improvement to how that system works from F5 and FH2. They didn't show much in the demo. Hoping the full game greatly improves that feature. Other than that, truly looking forward to F6 next week. I even have Friday off paid to get an early jump on the weekend to enjoy it even more. Havent been this excited for Forza since F4 and FH2. I can see F6 truly consuming a lot of my time just like F4 did. :)
