I've hit a boiling point. It's my own fault. I fished around the gt sport forums and read too many posts. It has me feeling kind of bugged, yet also inspired; to make some videos. So I did. I streamed some videos aimed at accomplishing the the following goals...

1.) Present to the viewers valid and interesting talking points about GT Sport and the series in general. Aka, food for thought. Question the obvious **** that never gets questioned... 2.) Educate. Give the general fan base a chance to expand their knowledge of sim racing by providing amusing facts and stories from my 18+ years sim racing. ...Yes, I did have a girlfriend in highschool.

3.) Set an example for the countless Jaded GT "fans" on this forum. The ones that bug me with their negativity and elite bias towards whatever their current sim is...(y'know, the underwhelmed ones that post so much about how they hate "this", or was disappointed by "that" in gt_->#). We'll take that negative **** and turn it into excitement and passion...Which leads me to the last objective...
4.) To entertain you. Bottom line. We like cars. We like games. We like racing. Why the **** is there any reason to be anything other than excited and stoked for a game like GT...Sport...Beta. enjoy!

Direct Drive Life on YouTube: ( more accurately named; belt drive life, or thumbstick life)

The following videos contain profanities.

Belt Drive Life:

Sound: observations from a has-been producer

Let's see what that funky interpolation (soap opera effect) does to a 30fps capped Gran Turismo replay... O...M...G... bra...(actually been doing this since gt5)

Next race: "****, I can't steer this thing! Turn it off!"

Subscribe and like and all that BS all the YouTube hosts say. Stay positive guys. Rep the GT community proudly and drive like a sportsman. It might just make GT sport a great sim racing platform someday.

A perfect example of why I love just exploring the GT menu system for info and of course, car shopping. This little gem cued up when I got to the menu this morning for a quick drive before work. Very catchy.

You need a language warning for those videos. If you're trying to promote this game and get fans excited why did you post that second video? It's basically trashing the online portion of the game from what I can tell in the couple of minutes I watched near the beginning and later on he trashes the AI. Why is this a separate thread?

Well by all means make an assumption based on a few minutes. You couldn't be any more wrong in your conclusion. If you listened, you'd have heard me say there's nothing wrong with the way online is. However there IS a much different online community playing GT and this is what the foundation of my opinion is based on. If you disagree feel free to inject some logical and thoughtful insight for everyone. Watch the whole video in the meantime and you'll have a different outlook on the video.

Edit: I'm sorry about the language in the video. :)

"Right now, it's not going to hold up as an eSports platform".
"The AI in this game is so 🤬 stupid"
"I've had some good races in Arcade mode but overall the AI is a joke"

I watched this weekd end "What makes GT feel like GT?" As a controller player, I agree! GT is the only game with a good feeling for me. I try to like Forza but there is something I don't like with the controller input. It works in a game like Forza Horizon, I simply can't enjoy races in Forza Motorsport. I've bought FH5 and FH6, I have no feeling with the pad.

Haha so you're like me then. Something just clicks with the controller. Hard to imagine people being better at driving in Forza than in GT, but they ARE out there.
God knows I tried to be good at Forza 5 and 6. I know what you mean for the most part. Very tricky to drive proper in the Forza series with a controller, but I had fun trying. The few times I played F5 with a wheel at a friend's house though I felt much more at ease and could drive as I intended. Still a very different feel at times.

Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! Those are indeed things I said, albeit, taken quite out of context. Why the focus on the negative though? Did the opinion offend you, or was it mostly the language? Remember, those quotes are also just initial opinion, based on a day or so of gameplay impressions. (Not nearly enough time). I even make a joke about it! And we see it alot with gaming journalists and YouTube gamer channels. Which would be why I pointed it out. Having a sense of humor about things will let you enjoy things in life much more, even if you don't always agree with them.

Just pointing out some inconsistencies. If you're trying to create passion and excitement in a jaded fanbase, telling people the AI sucks and the eSport portion of the game isn't going to work in your opinion, which is basically 90% of the game on track, is a bit contradictory. I could care less about the language. The language warning comment was for your benefit. It's against the GTP AUP to post content which contains offensive language without an attached content warning.
