I would like this to not end up being a locked thread because of out-of-control statements being made...but just wondering:

If Polyphony Digital (Gran Turismo primarily) is a proud sponsor of the D1SL/D1GP Series then how come we are only reduced to 3 D1 tracks?

I'm not sure how but is there any way we can bring this to P.D.'s attention?

Dude how would this topic be locked I totally agree! Ebisu ive been asking for since launch. Also would love to see Irwindale Drift track and they have Tokyo Bay Kart, why not Tokyo Bays Drift track? Not only that the cars like The Top Secret S15, Ueos old AE86's, Kei Office S15, Uenos Soarer, And why no Charmants? Daihatsus in the game but no car? Makes no sense to me at all.

Because this isn't a request thread. You could always Tweet PD for tracks and such.

I didn't request it here, but on the PD site on the request thread as well as on Sonys site under the GT5 thread. I'm on The GAP team so these things get through but what I meant was it didn't make sense these weren't included. I'm betting GT6 will see the big jump we are all looking for.

I'm going to venture and say that D1 probably wasn't even considered when it comes to tracks. If the 3 you are referring to are Fuji, Suzuka, and Tsukuba, despite the drifting love they are shown, they are primarily race/time attack tracks, and if they weren't included, the wrath of drifters would be miniscule compared to the rage of jgtc and time attack enthusiasts..I think japan is so weird in that they promote drifting itself, but are very wary to separate the different components of drifting(locale, cars, organization), and divulge them en masse to the public. It seems if you want the D1 tracks and cars, you're going to have to buy the D1 game(still somewhat fun but the physics suck), otherwise you'll get a few d1 cars, and no exclusive tracks, or...well i doubt there's a game out there w/ D1 tracks and no D1 cars...so nothing... dreaming of a perfect world w/ GT5 gameplay, and FM3 livery editor, throw in a little of NFS autosculpt...

Okay Fair enough, but why no Button Willow? Best Motoring uses that track for the Anerican Togue segments, plus the track has several Configurations, The best being the Togue inspired course but it also has a Full on race course. My guess though as You said, they probably are using GT5 to upgrade from PS2 meaning getting those cars onto PS3, now that all the old cars are in, they can work on Turning the Older Cars into premium, as well as fix the other issues for GT6.

i wouldn't mind seeing more d1 cars along with a couple more d1 courses and some touge tracks.definately tweet pd about it, any way to get their attention should work because they seem to do a very good job with updates and patches.

So any and everyone who can just send a friendly tweet to Polyphony digital regarding more D1 tracks/cars...just to start twisting those noggins of theirs :). I bet if people were willing to pay for it they may take it more seriously

I wouldnt mind having tracks as dlc, but not cars.
Btw, do you have to pay for dlc?

Well it would come in a bundle pack, I imagine. Exclusive content type deal..say $5.99 for 3 or more D1 Courses and several more D1 cars..the biggest thing is they could probably do it in no time if the cars aren't premium..and as a lot of people favor premium over standard, who knows how long it would take them to get x many cars from the D1 series .

Hire 800 people to model cars and it would take six months to upgrade them all! I doubt they would do it
