Post pictures of your car and the class you run in, feel free to tell about your car (specs, when you got it, your history with it etc.) and what have been your best/worst experiences in drag racing and finally what your home track is. My car is a 1983 Chevy Monte Carlo SS that i got for my 16th birthday (2013) It has a 305 Nitrous Injected Small Block Chevy with an aftermarket cam and emissions control delete, Flowmaster exhaust (Ran through open headers at the track) The transmission is an automatic 700-R4 with a B&M Megashifter and a 4.10 rear gear and the car sits on 15x8 street tires. It is a "weekend warrior" Street/Strip car that races in the Footbrake/Bracket class and My best time is a 9.83 with a .502 reaction time @ 71 mph. (All on an 1/8 Mile) My best experience in drag racing would be my first ever win during a race, when I went across the finish line and looked over and saw that my win light came on, I screamed so loud that I lost my voice for the day. and my worst experience is when I had 3 consecutive red light starts

Dad said back in the day he got the truck to run mid 7's in the 1/8th which doesn't seem all that whacky considering how built the motor was and most diesels can do that these days with light mods. 1/4 mile probably sucked though.

Not really a drag racer, but I've run the Evo several times. On E85 it runs an 11.7 @ 117 in the 1/4, which is a 7.6 in the 1/8. On pump gas it pulls a 12.2 @ 114, and 7.9 in the 1/8.

I don't know if you hear about people drag racing in 5,000lb SUV's but here's my story haha.
I race stock Jeep Commander, 5.7L Hemi V8. The Jeep was passed down to me when my mother passed in 2009. The only mod is I had the top speed governor taken off. it has 330-356Hp at 5,000rpm, and 375lbs of torque at 4,500rpm
The 0-60 time with a launch in 2WD (TCS off) is 6.9 seconds, and 7.4 without a launch and in 4WD. My best 0-60 is 6.5 seconds. 0-100Mph is around 16 seconds.
1/4 mile is around 90-95 depending on my launch.
Tops 137mph. (112Mph with speed governor)
It has a 545RFE Automatic Chrysler transmission.
My best experience would be that I smoked a kid in his 1999 Camaro SS, luckily for me he didn't know how to shift right xD
Worst experience would be that I was in the middle of a race and my Throttle control system killed the throttle because
I was over revving the engine and it made me lose badly to a Wrangler haha.
