you shouldn't bash macs until you have thoroughly used them. One of my parent's customers does video editing and came by to have several copies of his portfolio made. I was doing some stuff there at the time and got a chance to talk to him. Even for high level video editing, the guy refuses to switch from his VERY outdated 600mhz mac to a top of the line pc simply because of how much better the software runs. Because it is a print shop that my parents run, they have a 2 macs themselves. For graphics, I find the mac to be much, MUCH better both software wise and with their capabilities. Not to mention that mac is more or less the industry standard for graphic work.
For stability, the thing is AMAZING. We've had it for 2 months and up to now, we have never needed to reboot except for once when we tried running software for os9 outside of compatibility mode.
