I was ready to buy a 130$ Wheel stand Pro when I saw that in a Canadian Home Depot for 17$ (it's called a BALL BEARING STAND or WORK TOOL) and my McGuyver's mind worked in full speed:

Which was nearly perfect for me which is an occasional player with not much time and a game hater wife !: it's foldable, it's sturdy enough, the height is adjustable, my DFGT pedals goes between the 2 legs and are well in place by the front leg which stop it to move, you can easily remove the "ball bearing" part which left you with a nice T-shaped metallic part with two holes: just get a scrap wood plank, cut it to the good size LIKE THIS... THAT'S IT!!! (optionally you can also try to put a runaround metal piece to elevate the pedals that you fix on the front leg)

taddaaaaa! 10 minutes DIY! less than 25$ = unbeatable !

Just out of curiosity where would the pedals go? I suppose if a person was really tight for money this would work, although I prefer my full size rigs. If nothing else good ingenuity on your part.

The pedals fit nicely between the 2 legs... and well planted due to the fact that they can't slip because stopped by the second leg. I added a runaround metal piece to elevate the pedals:
