Hello, GT Planet. I heard a lot about GT4. Namely, that about the locales, the venues, some features, and of course, the cars. I have a lot to talk about, so let me see how many issues I can tackle:
---The Locales---
As you may know, New York City, Tsukuba, and the Grand Canyon have been in many pictures of places in GT4. However, I do hear that Paris, Fuji, Laguna Seca, and some rally course on city streets I don't know too well. If I had to make guesses or give ideas, allow me to do so. I predict or fantasize that Seattle, Tokyo, and all or most of the most popular GT 1 and 2 tracks will return. I fantasize that Goodwood, Long Beach, (maybe) Le Mans, Silverstone, Monza, all or most of the JGTC courses (look at http://www.jgtc.net [Japanese] or http://www.jgtc.net/index_en.htm [English]), (this may disappoint road racing fans) Daytona, Bathurst, Kyliami, Macau, Changwong, and maybe Sepang.
---The Feautres---
I predict that some of the features that makes GT3 impressive will be better for GT4. There is a report of new camera angles in replays, I heard. I'm hoping that there will be a sort of "advice system." For example, when I played Madden 2003 (GameCube), sometimes I pressed "Y" during plays to get advice from John Madden. In GT4, I hope that there will be a certain advice system to aid in completing license tests, racing strategies, and even to make note of the racer progresses in the game. If you can't have 24 Hour racing, you can at least simulate it. Take a line from "Le Mans 24 Hours" from Infogrames
---The Cars---
"778 Cars Confirmed" says one person. "Ginetta G20 confirmed!" says another. But I have my own predictions. I predict that the Saleen S7 and its racing counterpart will be in GT4. I also predict that some of the coolest cars from Gran Turismo Concept will make it into GT4. Among my favorites, I think the Audi TT from DTM will be in GT4. My suggestion? Get the Audi TT that won the 24 Hours at the Nurburgring. I think Lamborghini is POSSIBLE, but not a guarantee (of course, who wouldn't want to race a black Lamborghini Diablo?). LMP and GTP race cars are my favorite race cars. I would LOVE to see them race GT4, even the Pescarolo Courage from Le Mans 2002-03 would be cool to race. I would love to see the Audi R8C in GT4 as well (even though it didn't do well at Le Mans in 1999). It may sound crazy, but put in the GT500 McLaren F1 or the Gulf McLaren of lore. The 778 cars, though? Come on. I know it's going to be more than 500, but less than 778. When it comes to the cars, I think all the cars that are highly tunable should have racing conversions. For cars, the racing modification was one of my favorite features for a street car graduating from street car to race car. So GT4, please bring this back! And let us be able to choose whatever bodykits and graphics we wish. In that 778 of cars, I noticed some trucks. Now, I'm not good with trucks, but it would be very interesting to rally or road race trucks. If Kazunori has a little devilry in his game creation, he'd make that F-150 Flareside R/C truck a high-powered road racer.
Well, I know that was a lot, but we all have to speak our minds, right? This is America.
