I hate endurance racing, I love the F1 cars, and I cant seem to get the S license. If u cant tell, those 3 dont mix very well at all, considering u need endurance or the S license pro races to get f1s. So anyways, I was wondering if anyone could help me on what to do in my situation. I probably sound like an idiot but ive only got the F090/S and i love it.

It's probably easier to get the s-license than to learn to like endurance races if you don't like them at all. What tests are you stuck on? There a plenty of guides out there for the s-license.

To get the S-license, try manual and you should at least get bronzes in it...otherwise, practice practice practice.

Find people who live in your area and buy/trade F1 cars from them. This would be the easy way out...

I suggest getting your S-license as you will need it anyways later on in the game. It took me a lot of practice to get it, I would estimate that I spend about 6-8 hours on it.

2 pieces of advice:

1- Watch your own driving and compare it to the example the game gives, try to get your driving line as perfect as possible.

2- DO NOT GIVE UP, there will be atleast 1 circuit that you seemingly won't be able to get (for me this was Côte d' Azure) but with a lot of practice you CAN make it...

Ya ive thought about guides/watching the demos, but its so damn much to remember that its gonna be really hard to keep all that in mind, I have to of em done (Grand Valley/Midfield) but Im about to go insane on the Seattle one, however I havent tried it in manual so I will, thx for the tips all!

Well, if I were you, I'd pass on the license tests for now. They will be a lot easier once you've really learned to drive well.

Conincidentally, one of the best ways to learn how to drive is to do the enduros... the longer races really let you get into a rhythm, and it is easy to try different strategies and see how your lap times pan out. Once you really learn a track from 40 or more laps around it, it is much easier to remember how to run it smoothly.

The endurance races vary in length.

The shorter ones are (in order assuming your are using your quickest car):

Super Speedway
Seattle
Roadster Endurance

The others are all around 2 hours. It will seem like it anyway.

With the S license remember that you can do them in any order except the last one. This gave me confidence as I hate the GT40 at Seattle.

I found S3 and S4 relatively easy.

Here is what I am currently in the process of doing for the S license. It may or may not help but is helping me.

1. Do one or more laps without trying to beat the time. For me this is very important. What I normally find is that because I am driving relatively smoothly I am actually quicker than I thought I would be ie I have been within 4 or 5 seconds when I have done this.

2. I use the ghost to judge my time but it can be offputting if it is just in front of you. So decide for yourself. If you are getting gradually quicker it will be behind you anyway.

3. Plan to beat one or 2 corners at a time not the whole lap. I ran the first chicane about 10 times and then the second chicane about the same before trying the whole lap at S2. You very much make or break your lap in the first 1/3 lap at Seattle.

You do not need to remember 24 braking points in one go. Remember 1 or 2 well and then go on to the next few. You may find you will need to redo a specific corner but I have found that doing one or 2 at a time helps.

4. One of these days I will do this. DO NOT do any other races in between. If you need to beat Seattle like me stick at it. When I go from the GT40 to an F1 and then back to the GT40 it takes me a while to get in the GT40 groove again.

5. I know this breaks my rule no 4. If you are getting nowhere after about 15-20 minutes it is probably not your day. I struggled with the Pennzoil S license test (S4 I think) but then came back the next day and got it 1st go.

These are my thoughts. They are helping me make progress but I am still not there yet.

I didn't really struggle with S-4, i found it one of the easiest, but i agree with coming back after a while.

Cote D' Azure is the hard one. Use manual if possible or use thr R2 or L2 to hold gears if using auto. Third gear in most corners is a good choice.

i do not have the time or the patience 2 do a single race for many hours. that is why i used GS to make them all 1 lap. I would do the enduros but like i said i don't have that kinda time. it would be nice if you could save after every couple laps though.
