This is a farce. Ya know, I searched high and low for an answer to my question through all the information available at the GT4 board. I couldn't find one. So what do I do, I make a thread about it, because asking the question in topics that have nothing to do with it doesn't get you anywhere anyway. 90% of the time your question gets overlooked amidst the others that are also being asked in topics that don't really concern your question subject. Not once have any of my threads been put up. It's a complete joke. Are you actually trying to aggravate us users?

If you can find information about whether you'll be able to access the PAL exclusive cars via a GameShark in the US NTSC, then by all means, point me to it.

Just have patience and wait for a few hours! The Thread Moderation is done by HUMANS NOT Computers so it might have accidently been skipped or not approved! Oh BTW no need to get really mad I mean in a few days you will have GT4 and then you will be able to answer this question yourself! :D

Oh my bad since you said US NTSC I was thinking you were in USA maybe it was a typo? Anyways I hope you understand why your thread hasnt been created. It might havent even been read yet so just be a bit patience ok? BTW if a thread like this hasnt been created I am sure a mod will do it for you. :D ( I havent used the search function to see if this has already been talked about.)

When was this? I went through the thread queue about 4 hours ago, and there was nothing in it like that.

Then why would PD announce exclusive PAL version content? The NA version is NTSC. There's no reason why PD would go to the trouble of announcing PAL exclusive vehicles otherwise. I seriously think that if you're expecting the US NTSC car selection to be exactly the same as the PAL selection, you're going to be disappointed. Which is what brings up the GameShark question. If the cars are on the disc, then will they be accesible with a Gameshark/Action Replay. Or will they not be on the disc at all?....
 
If they aren't scripted in the Euro or NA version, the gameshark doesnt just suddenly screw with the code and give them to you. It doesn't work that way...it just messes with other stuff. I stopped using gamesharks a long time ago though, they really mess up your system.

They didn't. That announcement was made by SCEE, not PD. They also never stated which vehicles would be PAL-exclusive. And they might not have been comparing it to all the other versions, perhaps they were only comparing it to the already-released Japanese version. The simple fact remains as I stated it earlier... WE JUST DON'T KNOW. We'll find out in six days, when the game is actually released.

I would like to raise another question, that someone else asked... since you're in the UK and will be getting the PAL release, why are you so concerned with what's in the NA release? Personally, I've never been that concerned with what's included in games that I'll never play.
 
IMO the whole GT4 section should be locked until GT4 is out for everyone. Its mostly speculation except for a few that have a copy.

You do realize that this is the largest online Gran Turismo community right? Are you even thinking about the uproar that would cause? If you don't like it why complain - just don't visit it.

You know, sometimes, a thread is posted, but it drifts back into obscurity b/c the thread maker hasn't checked to see if it was made or not.

Being around longer does not make you smarter and know everything.
You may have wins and such, but even the oldest member can be a smartarse.
 
Fine. Go ahead and read thru all the inane (sp) posts in most of the threads in the GT4 section. Its all pointless until the game is available for all of us to try. And smartarse isn't a word.

I know how many insane threads there are, and that's why we have the Mods.

Yes, old members can be smartasses. I should know. However, that doesn't make them wrong necessarily. In fact the idea of closing the whole GT4 board until the game is in general release worldwide has crossed my mind many times. What is the point of asking a thousand questions that can't be answered until people have the game in their hands for a while? And if your favorite car isn't in the game, is knowing that 2 weeks earlier going to disappoint you any less?

In all honesty, we are being fairly liberal with our approvals. But there's a lot of duplication that really can be found without much searching. Somebody posted a thread asking about V-TEC in GT4. A 10 second search turned up 2 threads with "V-TEC" in the title, and about 200 with it in at least one post.
 
Ditto Neon_duke. I've wanted to close it down a handful of times as well.

If I recall, I am Special, I've cleaned that thread out that you posted. Based simply on the fact, that Gameshark has not announced anything, the NTSC version nor the PAL version have been released. You're asking for somone to guess if it will include cars that we've all guessed are in there.

Too much guessing, not enough fact. Simple equation, simple answer.

McLaren F1GTR, When dealing with GT3Mich, I suggest you hold your tongue. He's a very respected and valued member of GTP, as well as a number of other boards. When you start looking through the GTPlanet database for GT4 (coming soon) I'm certain you'll find many entries from him. Here's your chance to learn from him.
