ive been looking everywere for a program that will let me play my playstation discs on the pc, but none seem to work. (ive got windows xp) ive been told that some programs make the game have better graphics, and you can take screen shots. so if anyone knows of any programs that might work please tell me and posibly show me how to get them.

I use epsxe 1.5.1 (latest 1.5.2 version has a bug when running gt2) and it works just great. You can go to epsxe.com for it or look under this gt2 forum for the "looking for screenshots" thread. I have a couple posted.

i have ePSXe 1.5.0, and i can'y play either of the GT games! they start up ok, but then:
GT1 stops right after the License screen (cars in the game may not resemble...blah, blah...)
GT2 (Simulation) stops at the beginning screen (Start Game, Load Game, Save Game, Options...)

what's going wrong?? i can play moy other PSX games on it..

In epsxe 1.5.1 there is an option under the cd-rom settings specifically created for gt2 compatibility. Maybe you could search for something like that who knows

If the GT-mode freezes (blank screen) you just have to hold the 2-button on the keyboard for a few seconds.

I also have a question: I downloaded a savegame from another GT-forum and I would like to load it onto the memorycard in ePSXe. Is this possible or do I need some special program for it?

you should just be able to load it during the game...as long as you saved it in your preset gamesave directory.

It's OK, I found it.
You can select the memory card in configuration screen and I just had to select the right file.

Now I have all the prize cars that are available in GT2:D

i use the same thing as j2s but i'm having a different problem, i got everything to work, but the keyboard doesn't. i don't know why not, if someone could help me, then thanks

sorry burnout i have know idea...(got worse problems of my own) i just got ePSXe 1.5.2 and now it loads up to the first menu (start, options, load, save,...etc) and i push start and then the screen goes dark, like its about to load the game but then just stops and stays black.....can anyone help me.....please!!!

With me, it helps if I press 2 for a few seconds. But if that doesn't help, if you hit esc and in the file-menu, choose change disc -> CD-ROM. But then you just leave the disc in it and click OK.

Just let us know if this helps with you too.

I play GT2 on my PC with Connectix Virtual Game Station....though sorry....only works with windowns 95' / 98'
won't work on my other computer that runs XP.
pop the disc in the drive and away i go...although i can't use my wheel cuz if i do i havta go through all the menus using the damn wheel right/left and gas brake pedals....SUCH a pain in the ass....ive gotten used to the keyboard :(

What filetype are the savegame files, and where did you download it?

The savegames are .GME, that's the filetype dexdrive uses.

I downloaded them from: http://www.granturismo.de/download.php?op=viewdownload&cid=3
In config->memcards, just select the file you want to use.

It is possible that these don't work for you as they are PAL-versions! For me, they are the only ones I found that work, all the others must be NTSC, so I can't use them.

Is there anyone who could get me a tool to change NTSC to PAL version savegames?

Alright, here is how to fix it to my understanding so far... you have to run cdtiming in the command line, my problem... I cant get the damn command line to run the frcking command:banghead: i was hoping someone in here knew about it.

Ok i got the emu working, here is what to do if you havent so far:
1) get epsxe ver 1.5.0
2) load bios 1001
3) select that timing option in the cd config.
4) have a blast :D

sorry i don't have the site, i wouldn't suggest posting it, seeing as it is illegal to have if you do not own the system and the game.
