So, my friend and I have a g27 each. A third friend drives with a DS3 at home and is looking to step up to a wheel. He is thinking about getting a Driving Force GT because of price, but he has used our g27 set ups quite a bit and is very used to it.

Is there a huge difference in the force feedback between the g27 and the DFGT? I know in GT5 there are actually different settings that you can only set for the DFGT and such but not for the g27 and other higher-end wheels.

The FFB on the DFGT is more notchy, a little bit weaker and duller (but not really so much as you'd feel it hugely lacking unless you were using one right after the other), and its louder.

Its mainly the pedals and other stuff that make the difference between them, the wheel itself on the DFGT is perfectly adequate.

I agree with the previous poster. The biggest difference is the 100€ if we just look at rim and FFB. So if he likes manual and is willing to spend more on pedals, g27 is the wheel. I also say that g27 is the absolutely highest quality wheel that starter player should invest in, bang for the buck ratio gets much worse after it.

T500RS offer more bang for the buck nowadays. Over here it´s 270 Euro. The G27 is 210 Euro and is not close at all in regard of performance in term of feel. As for speed sadly you can´t buy that :D

You can switch between a DFGT and G27 wheel and not really notice much difference. However, if he gets a DFGT after using your G27, I can guarantee you that he'll hate the DFGT pedals.

The G27 is vastly better than the DFGT but, in my view, 80% of that is down to the pedals.

Ok. It still costs 400€ here.
