I have heard many comments regarding force feedback from those using wheels and some of it isnt really nice.
I for one think it's ok but if you guys think otherwise, vote in the poll and state why you think so in this thread. If you have any racing experience feel free to state that too.

The force feedback is so weak in GT5. Yes, I have it set on 10.
I raced on an offroad course in GT5, then went to race in Dirt 2 and the difference is huge.

The force feedback is so weak in GT5 ?
Try red bull X1 you will know the answer ???

I have set it on 10 since GT5P too.The redbull X2010 rattles the wheel a little but to me it's not a big deal.

Have it set on 5, just to get the feedback from the road that I need.

Isn't it wheel dependant, having the T500 full FFB support only?

I think probably yes, in GT5 it certainly does not push the G25 towards full power.

I just need enough feedback to know what's going on with the tires with respect to the state of the tire contact with the road surface. I have a DFGT set to 4 and that's fine with me.

The X1 has an insane amount of grip (no other car has that) so what do you expect?
I'm talking about normal cars.

Anymore votes?Lets try to get this to 50. :D

The feedback could be better, but I too found 4 to be the sweet spot.

However I did an interesting test back in December: I put completely rookies behind the wheel - namely my wife, my father and my mother. They could not drive worth spit unless the FF was set to 10. They constantly over corrected, swerving side to side as if they were drunk. So this tells me the feedback is too low. I turned it down to 4 so its easier to catch a slide (countersteer) and to make longer races easier. Some cars (mostly front drive) plow (understeer) so fighting the wheel becomes tiresome (yes I'm a wimp).

I like the FFB the way it is...I have the DFGT...I did have to rest my thumbs after 2 straight days of Vettel's X1 Challenge.

10 is too weak, needs to double in my opinion, and if it's too much for the x2010, just adjust your front downforce lower

The FFB isn't all that bad for the most part. On cars and race cars but when it comes to the X2010 its damn right awful. My DFP just judders stutters and generally has a heartattack. Ive tried settings 1 to 10 nothing makes it better. @Ramcharger Its got nothing to do with the downforce.

Overall i´m happy with the ffb on my g27. the feedback of what the car is doing is better than in most other games (load alternation). wheelweight could be stronger, though. compared to other games the g27 comes to like 50% of it´s potential in gt5, so i voted "needs work".

I think the FF feels more "blah" with a DFGT, feels pretty decent (but a little notchy at times) with the G27, but once I stepped up to the T500 RS - feels GREAT to me. Although I had to learn how to "drive" again, as the feel was completely different compared to my previous wheel (G27). Cheers, obviously I voted "feels ok."

The only problem are people using crappy wheels, buy fanatec and the problem is solved. Allso try to drive a normal car(real life) and see how little "force feedback" there actual are

"is" instead of "are" FYI

I have a DFGT. I set FFB to 1-2 tops. That's pretty realistic for most street cars. I chose needs works, as 10 almost becomes a test of grip strength.

The FFB isnt weak in strength, it just lacks detail.

Yes we are not talking about strength in here, just lack of information that it should provide, though for a console game it is not too bad but for driving simulator it is not very good

I voted that the FFB needs work. The strength of the FFB is plenty enough for me (G25), but the FFB lacks a lot of detail about what the car is doing.

Anymore opinions?:)

I have a t500rs set to 10. The problem is when u try and fight it you end up damaging the wheel. Especially the sudden jerks when you clip a chicane.

I would like a tad bit stronger on the DS3 & any Wheel (I've owned 3), just to add a little more realism to the "The Real Driving Simulator."
