Force feedback?

I have one of the original logitech driving force wheels.

It was bought along with GT3 so it is getting on a bit.

It looks like this

However mine has a sticker at the bottom that says clearly FORCE FEEDBACK.

However since the purchase of the product I have never experienced any force feedback of any kind, this is probably due to me using the DS controllers more as they were easier to get the hang of when I was younger,

Since Buying GT5 I have brought the wheel out again in hope that I could finally use it properly but It seems so hard without any feedback especially when I try drifting.

I've been on all of the menus on gt5 and adjusted feedback to 10 but i still get nothing?!?!

Has anyone else experienced this/ does anyone know a solution?

Any feedback (from you guys and hopefully the wheel) would be greatly appreciated :dopey:

Cheers

Ryan

Does the force feedback works with any other racing game fro PS3? because otherwise your wheel may be broken

I've only had the ps3 for a couple of months, GT5 is the only driving game i played it with.

I've noticed a spare socket on the back of the wheel, I don't know if this is linked?

do these need an additional power supply to them for the feedback to work?

Yuo should have 2 sockets on the back of the wheel, one for the pedals and an AC power connector (I mean an hole to connect the wheel to electricity :D)

Maybe the reason why FF doesn't work is that the wheel is not powered, as far as I know every FF wheel needs an auxiliary power source

That could be the issue. I accidentally unplugged my DFGT wheel one night and didn't have any force feedback. Plugged it in and everything was fine.

Correct. Plug in the AC power, so the feedback motors have a power supply. Problem solved. That'll be $45 :)

$90 to get those loose muffler bearings fixed.

Dw, sorted. I've had this wheel for ages and had lost the power supply, i hadn't noticed the extra slot on the back of the wheel before, I found a random compatible power supply and now it works!
