A television advertisement for the Ford Focus Zetec Climate has been criticised by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) for misleading viewers.

The advertisement featured logos and images from the latest James Bond film, Casino Royale, along with images of the new Focus Zetec Climate.

Two viewers complained that the advert misleadingly implied that the Focus was in Casino Royale. It wasn’t – although pretty much every other Ford group product was, most notably the new Mondeo.

We’re not sure quite why you’d be so disappointed not to see the Focus in Casino Royale, but either way, Ford isn’t allowed to show the ad any more.

Hmm.... good advertising? Yes. Stupid to pull it? Yes.

Kinda dumb. No. Really dumb.

Awesome. All I have to do to get an ad I don't like pulled from the air is have a buddy of mine help me call in a couple of complaints.

An ad that creates a stir is more effective than the ones that dont.

This is an ad they played here in the states that was pulled about the day after the Super Bowl.
SNICKERS
Im sure you can assume who complained.
