Certainly didn't see that coming. Doubt this will come to the UK, if anything we'll receive a ST-Line model featuring similar styling but regular engines.

The standard model really reminds me of the Vauxhall Mokka X

It's certainly missing some of the charm of the first-gen (facelifted) model. Though I do like the rear light treatment on the current one. The face is just too simple and angular, and this facelift just makes it look like a Focus with an eating problem.
 
WHAT?! I mean seriously, what the heck? Of all the cars to get a ST version from Ford's lineup, I did not expect the Edge. I mean I guess it makes sense since apparently more people in the US at least are going after crossovers more than mid-sized sedans. Still though, this was completely out of left field for me.

Anyway, I'm not really that impressed with the performance figures. 335 hp and even 380 lb-ft of torque isn't really a lot imo for a crossover trying to be a performance vehicle.

Although, if Ford wants to expand the ST range, I'm not sure what else they could've given the treatment too. The Fusion is probably dead next year, the Mustang has 12,000 editions, the Taurus has the SHO, and the F-150 has the Raptor.

I mean I guess maybe the Escape, the top of the range version already has the Focus ST engine in it.
 
If Ford is planning to "ST all the things", I think a performance model of the KA+ could be desirable. Throw in the 1.0 EcoBoost dialled up to 140hp and you could have a decent Suzuki Swift Sport rival.

I'm late with posting this, but I saw the Edge ST weeks ago at the Washington DC Auto Show. I still can't believe this thing exists.
I couldn't open the doors at the event, but I was still able to look inside. It looks like the interior of any other Edge or Fusion, not much to say about it.

I...actually like this somewhat. Granted, my head version of a performance Edge was Ford going full mental and making an Edge or Escape RS...but hey, can't really complain.
