Only a concept at this point to hint at future releases in China. But if the next Focus takes some design queue's from it, then that certainly wouldn't be bad at all.

Have to say,

1st time I saw that grill on the New Fiesta I was like wtf (we have a 59 plate old style ST and I think the front end is really nice) however the more I've seen it the more I've came around to it.

I actually now really like it and when it's on a silver/grey car there is definitely a Aston Martin look to it.

Looks good :D

British Escort fans will probably make a lot of noise looking at this Chinese-only concept and demand that it comes to the UK along with an all new Escort RS Cosworth.

Nah.

Apart from anything, the sedan was almost always called the Orion. Escort was the hatchback :D

This thing doesn't look too bad though. Not wild on Ford's current styling direction but it looks a lot less fussy than most.

I wouldn't normally do the grammar nazi thing*, but it's "cues", as in snooker ;) That's what 'Merkuns get for using the word "line" instead of "queue"...

* Okay, maybe I would

Needs a little work I think but it's not terrible.

Should Ford decide to a) produce it, and b) make it available in North America (doubtful), I sincerely hope they will not go with the Escort name. No matter how bad the European Escorts could have been, I'm sure they felt like Maybachs when compared with this:

I agree this would be an elegant facelift for the Focus.

I foresee a problem for automakers if and when the Chinese car market calms down. Whereas many of them are aligning their Euro and NA products, the Chinese market requires something completely different. This means they've got too many offerings should sales tighten and they're going to have to make serious cuts. Apparently they're currently making boatloads of money or else they wouldn't be spreading themselves out so far.

I just typed it in without bothering to look it up to see if it was correct. Didn't have the best night last night, so I didn't really care.
