The original Escort is not a particularly fast car, producing less power than a 1st Gen MX-5, but it is light, weighing in at just 785KG. It is also a very desirable car and I would buy it in GT7 in Premium State for a maximum of CR.65,000. Which for what would be a 380PP car, is alot, considering that for an extra CR.12,000 you could buy a Nissan GT-R. BUT the Escort, unlike a GT-R would be amazing at rallying, and maybe drifting.

I always wondered why GT had no Escorts, or any fast ford (Apart from the newer Focus's)
I actually saw a MK1 Escort RS at a hillclimb event a few weeks ago (similar to the one in the original post).
It was lightened and had the turbo from an Escort Cosworth, had 200BHP.
Then there was 2 heavily tuned fords
Sierra Cosworth and Escort Cosworth, both sounded insane and both had 400BHP
 
Absolutely, especially the older Escorts are a guilty pleasure of mine and I love to drive these in GT Legends for example, and I think that any of the older Escorts would be a great addition to the game.
