The Ford Excursion is a heavy duty SUV built by Ford from 1999 until 2005. Based on the Super Duty pickup trucks, the Excursion was Ford's largest SUV in it's lineup. Designed for buyers with super-sized passenger, interior cargo and towing needs, the Excursion design was based on the 1999 F250 Super Duty line of pickup trucks. It shares the front frame, front and rear suspension, drivetrain, steering and styling with the F250. The length, width, track and wheelbase are the same as the standard cab 8 feet bed Styleside pickup models and has similar maneuverability. It is essentially a F250 modified into a SUV. Available engines included a 5.4 "Triton" V8 (255HP), 6.8 "Triton" V10 (310HP) and a 6.0 "Powerstroke" Diesel V8 with 325HP. Ford also sold the car in a limited "Eddie Bauer" trim line in 2003.

Those things are monsters! Have you ever seen one up close :)

They're like the SUV version of the Super Duty. They are big!

It's not just the SUV "Version" of the Super Duty, it is literally just an F-250 Super Duty turned into an SUV. And there's no denying it's a big car:

10.7 kg per BHP. In a drag race it would lose against my 47 BHP Fiat 500  (10.3 kg per BHP).
Maybe it's 560 FT-LBS (More than a Lamborghini Aventador) of torque would make up for it's lack of power?

There are two reasons why it wouldn't:

1. You'd only be running the engine at the RPM where that torque is delivered for a split second while in 1st gear. During most of the drag race you'd want to be running at peak power rather than peak torque.

2. Torque is multiplied by the gear ratios: shorter ratios gives less speed and more torque, while taller ratios gives less torque and more speed. That Ford has a strong but slow engine. To get some speed out of it you need taller gear ratios, and that give you less torque at the wheels.
